Advocates Acadamy: Preparing Written and Oral Testimony

Wednesday, April 26, 7-8 PM Update: Link is fixed!

It is the job of our elected officials to hold public hearings and solicit public comment on a wide variety of issues. Whether you are advocating for an issue at your local town hall meeting or at the state legislature, learning how to prepare written and oral testimony is a foundational skill that will help you be a more effective advocate.

At our next Advocates Academy training, we will review how to approach preparing written and oral testimony and the key components that will make your testimony effective. This training will be offered virtually on Zoom.

As a follow up to this training, we will be offering two in-person office hour sessions in Springfield and in Boston. The purpose of the office hour sessions is to help you workshop and practice testimony you are working on. Dates and locations for these office hour sessions will be announced soon.
