Write-VA-Lily Franklin

We are partnering with the National Women’s Political Caucus of Virginia (NWPC-VA) to write postcards to women in support of women candidates. They really need our help – not only is protecting abortion in Virginia crucial, there are other national implications.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE: Lily Franklin grew up in Southwest Virginia (SWVA) and has spent the majority of her life in these mountains. She will be able to hit the ground running when elected having spent the past seven years working for Delegate Sam Rasoul, including as his Chief of Staff. Lily has a proven record, established contacts, and an in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of the Commonwealth’s government. She believes SWVA deserves the tools to create a future where everyone thrives: children get a world-class education, recent graduates get good-paying jobs in their hometowns; working families have the resources they need to be healthy and successful, and seniors can retire with dignity in their own homes.

You are writing to women voters in this district. It is important we reach out to women because Virginia is the last southern state where abortion is still safe and legal. Abortion is on the ballot in November.  This is a new open seat that was redrawn in 2022. The district occupies part of Roanoke County and Montgomery County.
