Citizens Bank: Stop Financing ICE Prisons!
May 16 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EDT
Protests began on January 24 with more than 40 standouts and 1000 people at Citizens Banks across the Northeast including Acton. Protests are now on-going. Keep the pressure on! Join our standout on May 16!
Citizens Bank claims it’s dedicated to fostering strong communities. Yet it provides hundreds of millions of dollars in financial support and services to the country’s large for-profit prison and detention center builders and operators—CoreCivic and The GEO Group. While other US banks have pulled out of the business, Citizens Bank has deepened its ties with the big winners in ICE’s war on immigrants.
Customers and non-customers alike! Help let people know about Citizens Bank’s involvement with ICE. Sign up and join the protest sponsored by the De-ICE Citizens Bank Coalition on Saturday, May 16.
If you choose to, bring a sign with a message such as Citizens Banks: Stop Financing ICE Prisons! Citizens Bank: Get Out of ICE Business or any large print sign visible to passing cars.
