Demystifying the MA Ballot Questions
September 27 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm EDT
On November 3, you will be asked to weigh in on nine ballot questions in Massachusetts—the most since 1994. That is going to translate into a two-to-three page ballot when you get to the polls. Some of the questions have deep-backstories and implications that are worth understanding.
Join us for a ballot fair with representatives from both sides of issues. Together, we’ll discuss each question in-depth and give you the confidence you need to cast your ballot.
Our tables will be hosted by advocacy organizations, where you can learn how to get involved with issues that are meaningful to you, including
Q1: Public Records Requirements
- Office of State Auditor Diana DiZoglio
Q3: Top-Two Primary Elections Initiative
Q4: Same-Day Voter Registration
Q5: Tax Revenue Cap
Q6: Nature for All Fund
Q8: Repeal Law Allowing Marijuana Sales
Q9: Uphold Firearms Regulation
. . .and special guests
Now is the time to get informed about the pros and cons of each initiative. Our democracy depends on educated voters — that’s you!
A core principle behind all Indivisible and coalition partner events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
