May Day – Harvard Resists- Standout and Food Drive
May 1 @ 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm EDT
MAYDAY, MAYDAY! Join us on the Harvard Common this Friday, May 1, from 4–6pm for a national day of action, flexing our economic power to demand that the many are put before the few, that workers and everyday people are put ahead of the billionaire class, and to protest the corruption and incompetence of this administration. Bring your flags, signs, and voices.
We’ll have a donation box for Loaves & Fishes at the event—please bring what you can.
What is May Day—and why does it matter?
May Day (International Workers’ Day) has long been a global day of solidarity rooted in labor movements and collective action—a reminder that real power comes from everyday people when we organize, show up, and stand together. How you can participate
No work, no shopping, no school. If you’re able, take part in the broader May Day pledge and actions organized by May Day Strong by pausing your usual routine—this collective withdrawal is a way to demonstrate the power of everyday people and disrupt business as usual.
Show up on Friday, May 1 (4–6 pm, Harvard Common). Bring signs, flags, friends—your presence matters.
Support mutual aid. We’ll have a donation box for Loaves & Fishes at the event—please bring what you can.
Plug in and share resources. Community groups are invited on Friday to table, bring flyers, and connect people with ways to take action—whether through organizing, volunteering, or mutual aid.
