As Leah Greenberg says in this New Republic interview, “Protests are tactics, not strategy.” They serve an important function to achieve our goals, but in order to be successful they must be just one of many tactics employed. So what’s next is all about strategy — and what you can do — not what Indivisible, or Dems, or any other organization can do to save us!
National Indivisible has been training activists since 2017, and with the stakes higher than ever, Indivisble launched One Million Rising this past summer. What’s next starts with you and ends with your sustained participation. What’s next is not reaching a magical number at a future protest. What’s next may not be comfortable or easy, but it’s not rocket science either.
Using the research and training of One Million Rising, it’s time for each of us to become our own organizer.
