Tell Target to Break Up With ICE

This Valentine’s Day, break up with ICE!

Across the country, our communities are under attack. ICE is tearing families apart, and politicians and corporations like Target are enabling it. Target has deep roots in Minnesota and nationwide influence. By refusing ICE access and collaboration, they could stand on the right side of history, but right now, they’re enabling oppression.

This Valentine’s Day, we’re asking you to stand up and take action with us. SURJ members are organizing actions at Target stores across the country to demand that Target refuse ICE access, stop collaborating, and push for defunding ICE.

By showing up together — in love, in courage, and in solidarity — we can disrupt business as usual, challenge harmful corporate behavior, and inspire others in our communities to stand up for their neighbors and join us in this work.

To get everyone ready to take action, we’re hosting two calls:

Call 1 – February 5, 2026

• Learn why Target is our target and the impact our actions can have
• Hear directly from organizers in Minnesota who have already led actions at Target and learn from their experience
• Get inspired and say yes to organizing an action at your local Target and learn your next steps

Call 2 – February 9, 2026

• Walk through a step-by-step guide to organizing a Target action
• Learn the basics of nonviolent direct action, roles, and planning
• Ask questions and get support as you prepare to show up
