Unite & Rise for Voting Rights – LWV Amherst

On July 23, 2026, join the League and our partners as we host a civic action in honor of the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. We’ve been meeting to write postcards to voters in swing states, and have another gathering on 7/23 6-8pm at Cherry Hill Cohousing’s Common Room located on Pulpit Hill Road in North Amherst.
Leagues and partners will lead hundreds of activations across the country centered on increasing voter engagement, turnout, and education, with particular emphasis on young voters and community partnerships.
A core principle behind all Indivisible and coalition partner events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
