DESCRIPTION:This a local Indivisible event! At the I-93 overpass at Marble St Stoneham / Forest St Winchester MA. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\nSign up for an hour long shift\n\n\n\n\nSign up for an hour shift: You will have friendly company: we’re scheduling at least 3 volunteers for each one-hour shift. Please wear a bright-colored shirt: You will stand out to the people below and they will be much more likely to see you waving to them! Please be prompt for the start of your shift. Banners and flags for the standout will be set up on the overpass\, and we don’t want to leave them unattended\, for even a short time. You’re welcome to bring your own signs but they aren’t necessary. (Hand-held signs aren’t visible enough to be seen by the people below but are visible to the people traveling on the Overpass.) \n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

DESCRIPTION:We are gathering on Friday\, August 15th from 3-4:30 at three overpasses on Route 6 with messages to advance our pro-democracy causes to travelers passing by. The message theme for 8/15 is “Be Brave”. As always\, these are a peaceful events where we will stand in public spaces. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP- be sure to note which location\n\n\n\n\nHere are the overpass locations: \n\n\n\n\nHarwich\, Exit 82 Overpass (park at Park & Ride)\n\n\n\nHarwich\, Freeman’s Way Overpass between exits 85 and 89 (park at lay-by near overpass)\n\n\n\nWellfleet\, Long Pond Road Overpass (park at lay-by near Lawrence Rd)\n\n\n\n\n(note which location when you register) \n\n\n\nLook forward to seeing you there! DESCRIPTION:The owner of the Burlington ICE facility and Cafe Escadrille has not cooperated with the town to allow inspections. \n\n\n\nNeither the owner nor ICE have responded to Burlington’s request for an inspection. Sometimes there is not even enough room to lie down to sleep on the cement floors. Food if it comes is sporadic and unappealing. People are not supposed to be detained in this facility. A fancy dress protest draws attention to the lack of due process and inhumane conditions.
