DESCRIPTION:Join other concerned area residents in reminding over 3000 commuters that\, with their help\, America can become better\, that ICE has become a violent fascist gang\, that Trump is looting our children’s future and that pedophiles of all strips need to be held accountable. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nWe have a selection of pre-made signs and banners but feel free to bring your own (not more suggestive than PG\, though). \n\n\n\nWe start at 8 AM and end at 9 AM. The intersection is served by the 77 bus from between Arlington and Harvard Square and there is very limited parking nearby. No bathrooms so go easy on the morning coffee. \n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

SUMMARY:Resistance Book Club
DESCRIPTION:Our current presidential administration seems intent on erasing critical aspects of American history\, both historic injustice\, and the struggles for freedom and democracy that are parts of our past. Led by community member and friend of the store Bob Van Meter\, the Resistance Book Club will read works that tell important parts of that history.   \n\n\n\nThe book club will meet on the third Friday of the month at 10:30 AM here at the store. The first meeting will be on Friday\, February 20th\, and the book pick will be The Second Founding by Eric Foner. It’s a concise history of the adoption of the 13th\, 14th\, and 15th Amendments\, which Foner argues should be seen as a second founding of the nation.

This weekly afternoon standout is on Fridays from 1:30 to 2:30 at the Hanscom Rotary (intersection of Hanscom Dr. and Old Bedford Rd. in Lincoln\, MA.) Please park along Old Bedford Road or Hanscom Drive without impeding traffic or blocking bike lanes. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDe-ICE Hanscom is a coalition organizing peaceful standouts with the goal of eliminating ICE transport flights from Hanscom Field. ICE is using these flights to swiftly move immigrants out of New England in order to hinder effective legal representation.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCoalition groups include Boston Workers Circle\, Concord Indivisible\, Greater Assabet Indivisible Network (GAIN)\, Indivisible Acton Area\, Jewish Alliance for Law & Social Action (JALSA)\, Lexington Alarm\, and Maynard Indivisible. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSign up to get information and updates about our weekly standouts.
