SUMMARY:Peaceful Bystander Training hosted by Mystic Mashup Indivisible (MMI)
DESCRIPTION:Support your neighbors and community by joining us in Medford for an educational training on how to be a peaceful bystander. \n\n\n\nBystander Training for an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) encounter will empower individuals to understand their legal rights as bystanders and what they can do to support affected community members. Training participants will gain increased awareness and practical strategies for how to respond in such situations. \n\n\n\nDoors open at 6:45 p.m. Come early to sign in\, get a snack\, and meet the event organizers and other attendees! Training starts at 7:00 p.m. Please bring a nonperishable food item as an entry donation to the event. \n\n\n\n\nPlease RSVP for address\n\n\n\n\nDeveloped and led by Somerville Indivisible’s Elaine Almquist and supported by MMI’s coalition partners. \n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
