Learn more about how Massachusetts can tap the state’s rainy day fund and pass our MA Corporate Fair Share legislation to raise more than $1.5 billion to stop devastating federal cuts to healthcare\, food assistance\, and other critical services in Massachusetts. \n\n\n\nDid you know that 300\,000+ people in MA risk losing healthcare & food assistance due to massive cuts to Medicaid and SNAP? MA faces massive cuts to healthcare and food assistance programs to fund the Big Ugly Bill’s tax cuts for billionaires and big corporations. \n\n\n\nBut we have a solution: protect our care through Massachusetts’ Corporate Fair Share and rainy day fund! Massachusetts can prevent the greatest harm of devastating federal budget cuts by tapping the state’s $8 billion rainy day fund and making tax-dodging global corporations pay their fair share in state taxes. \n\n\n\nJoin us on October 22nd to learn more and protect our care together! \n\n\n\n\nRSVP

SUMMARY:Solidarity Mobilizations: a 2-part training on showing up for immigrant communities
DESCRIPTION:Across the country\, immigrant communities are under attack and authoritarian forces are gaining ground. But there’s a growing movement of people ready to take action with clarity\, courage\, and discipline. This training is for all of us who want to stand up in solidarity\, especially those of us who are white who are ready to organize\, respond\, and show up with commitment and care. \n\n\n\nJoin us for Solidarity Mobilizations\, a powerful two-part training series hosted by Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) and Solidarity Organizing Initiative (SOI). We’ll break down the political moment we’re in\, the authoritarian playbook driving these attacks\, and the role those of us who are white and/or citizens can play in pushing back effectively and strategically. \n\n\n\nEach session will have live transcription and will be recorded. The recording will be sent out to everyone who registers within 48 hours after each session. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for Zoom Link\n\n\n\n\nIn the first session\, you will: \n\n\n\n\nLearn to recognize and anticipate “Moments of Crisis” — and why they’re central to the authoritarian strategy\n\n\n\nUnderstand how direct support and crisis response work together in immigrant justice organizing\n\n\n\nGet grounded in the principles of strategic noncooperation and how it builds people power\n\n\n\nLeave with everything you need to start a SURJ Circle and get organizing with your neighbors in your community\n\n\n\n\nIn the second session\, you will: \n\n\n\n\nLearn how to provide direct support for immigrant communities\n\n\n\nGet clear on next steps you’re taking in your community\n\n\n\n\nWhether you’re brand new or have been in the fight for years\, this training will give you political clarity\, strategic tools\, and an invitation to join us in deeper solidarity. This is just the beginning\, let’s get ready together.

SUMMARY:Indivisible LAB Action Hour
DESCRIPTION:Share updates and hear from guest speaker Scotia Hille\, executive director of Act On Mass\, about why we must improve transparency and accountability at the State House. Hille will also talk about a potential ballot question to reform the MA Legislature’s stipend system\, which allows leaders to use member salaries as a form of control. Bring your ideas! \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for location details\n\n\n\n\nYou can also purchase & donate items for “kid kits” to help some immigrant families in Waltham who are experiencing food insecurity alongside concerns for their safety. Volunteers make deliveries to these families. At our Action Hour\, we’ll assemble 50 small sets of treats for children. Use this form to sign up to purchase a small number of items for these kits — from Costco or any source you choose. Please bring these on 10/23\, or arrange for drop off by emailing here.
