DESCRIPTION:Massachusetts Families for Vaccines is pleased to invite you to our Day of Advocacy on Wednesday\, January 28\, 2026! This event will support our campaign to pass H.2554/S.1557 to remove the non-medical exemption from required school vaccines. \n\n\n\nWe will gather at 10:00am in Room 428 to hear from bill sponsor Representative Andy Vargas\, learn about MAFV’s poll showing strong support for passing H.2554/S.1557\, hear from experts about the importance of strengthening vaccine requirements in schools\, and watch a clip from the documentary Shot in the Arm. (You can view the trailer here.) Refreshments will be provided. After the presentation\, we strongly encourage you to visit your legislators’ offices to share why passing H.2554/S.1557 is important to you. \n\n\n\nIf you are able to attend\, please fill out the form below so that we can help you arrange meetings with your legislators in advance. SUMMARY:Training: Peacekeeping at Protests
DESCRIPTION:Protests\, rallies\, and marches are important tactics to fight back against the Trump Administration. Volunteer peacekeepers help ensure the intended message is delivered by keeping the event safe. Peacekeepers may direct traffic\, de-escalate conflict if there are counter protesters\, and support the success of the action. There is a significant need for more peacekeepers. There are a range of roles for volunteers who complete the training. \n\n\n\n\nGet Zoom Link\n\n\n\n\nJoin this virtual one hour training by experienced peacekeeper Elaine Almquist. The training will cover: \n\n\n\nCommitment to non-violence\, the purpose of peacekeeping\, planning for safety\, peacekeeping positioning\, how peacekeeping differs from other roles\, de-escalation\, and debriefing.
