It is a coordinated\, respectful courtroom presence\, a visible reminder that the community is paying attention\, values due process\, and rejects the criminalization of people who acted to protect their neighbors. \n\n\n\n\nSign up for a shift here\n\n\n\n\nOur goal is simple: keep the courtroom seats filled throughout the day with calm\, respectful observers. \n\n\n\nWhat to Expect: This is an inside-the-courtroom presence. Attendees will go through courthouse security and sit silently in Room 23. No signs\, chanting\, or demonstrations are permitted. Timing may shift\, so we are organizing coverage in blocks. \n\n\n\nImportant Courtroom Rules: No signs\, slogans\, political clothing\, clapping\, or verbal reactions. DESCRIPTION:We need people like you to tell your stories to legislators and urge them to support resources for unhoused and low-income families. If you have any questions\, please contact Jason Lee at jasonl@saveourhomes.org. \n\n\n\nCookie Day is an annual advocacy event where low-income tenants\, families\, providers\, elected officials\, and community members unite to expand and deepen the impact of the Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program. The event earned its name from the tradition\, started by Homes for Families\, of families and advocates handing out house-shaped cookies to elected officials as a reminder to support MRVP. \n\n\n\n9:30AM – Doors open in the Hall of Flags and attendees will have a chance to sign in and grab some breakfast. \n\n\n\n10:00AM – Advocates\, community members\, and legislators will meet at the Hall of Flags to hear personal stories of using MRVP and from leading legislators in affordable housing.  \n\n\n\n12:00PM – Following the speaking portion\, people will head out to legislative meetings and to hand out cookies. SUMMARY:Training: Peacekeeping at Protests
DESCRIPTION:Protests\, rallies\, and marches are important tactics to fight back against the Trump Administration. Volunteer peacekeepers help ensure the intended message is delivered by keeping the event safe. Peacekeepers may direct traffic\, de-escalate conflict if there are counter protesters\, and support the success of the action. There is a significant need for more peacekeepers. There are a range of roles for volunteers who complete the training. \n\n\n\n\nGet Zoom Link\n\n\n\n\nJoin this virtual one hour training by experienced peacekeeper Elaine Almquist. The training will cover: \n\n\n\nCommitment to non-violence\, the purpose of peacekeeping\, planning for safety\, peacekeeping positioning\, how peacekeeping differs from other roles\, de-escalation\, and debriefing.
