SUMMARY:Thoreau's Forests Confront Climate Change
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Moomaw\, lead author of the Nobel Prize-winning climate report\, explores how forests can tackle climate change. \n\n\n\nDr. William Moomaw\, a lead author of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize – winning climate report\, will explore how forests and other ecosystems help moderate climate change — in combination with new technologies and changes in our behaviors. \n\n\n\nThe discussion will be moderated by Delia Kaye\, Concord’s Natural Resources Director. \n\n\n\nAbout Dr. Moomaw\n\n\n\nWilliam Moomaw is Professor Emeritus and Founding Director of the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy at the Fletcher School at Tufts University\, and Distinguished Visiting Scientist at Woodwell Climate Research Center.
