DESCRIPTION:Join us for our monthly public meeting! As the first meeting of the month\, we are dedicating most of the meeting to a discussion of the Burlington ICE Congressional Oversight Project. We invite you to join us if you want to learn more about the campaign or\, if you are already involved\, to share updates. We hope to have at least one representative from each team working on the project. We are still looking for activists to form more teams. DESCRIPTION:Today we are witnessing a “Jim-Crow” era effort to restrict our voting power. The late Congressman John Lewis famously stated\, “ordinary people with extraordinary vision can redeem the soul of America by getting in what I call ‘Good Trouble\,’ Necessary Trouble.” \n\n\n\nWe are asking the faith community to hold a “Good Trouble Service” on your faith institution’s day of worship during the GTLO Weekend of Action. \n\n\n\nJoin us on July 8\, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET as we discuss the Preach Pillar’s involvement in this year’s GTLO. If you are able to stand in faith with us or would like more information\, please register to join us on July 8\, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET. \n\n\n\n\nGet Zoom Link\n\n\n\n\nWhether you’re a religious leader or a person of faith\, we need you\, nay\, our democracy needs YOU! \n\n\n\nPlease join us for a call with faith leaders to discuss how we can engage in the moral work of supporting and exercising our sacred right to vote. \n\n\n\nPlease note\, Good Trouble Lives On is a non-partisan weekend of action. We require that participants commit to not advocate for\, endorse\, or oppose any political candidate or ballot initiative. A core principle behind all Good Trouble Lives On events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind\, including those legally permitted\, should not be brought to events.
