SUMMARY:Get out the Vote for Early Voting
DESCRIPTION:Early voting is an important part an our strategy to protect the vote against interference by the Trump regime. August 22 is the first day of early voting for the Massachusetts primary. Join us for leafletting outside America’s Food Basket\, Shaws\, and possibly other locations in Randolph between 9 and 4 as we encourage voters to take advantage of early voting. We’ll be divided into 1-3 hour shifts. By signing up here\, you are NOT volunteering to be there all day. You will be asked by email what the best times are for you and assign you to a specific location. Everyone will work in teams of 2-3 people. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRandolph Resistance will also have an overpass standout over Rt. 24 on the same day\, Aug. 22\, also promoting early voting. SUMMARY:Standout to SUPPORT IMMIGRANTS - No Fear Street Theater
DESCRIPTION:Speechifying\, Shakespeare\, & Sea Shanties! Every week\, we stand on Burlington Mall Road with signs\, costumes and flags. We come out to show support for our immigrant neighbors\, express our shame at ICE\, and build community in opposition to the cruel and unconstitutional actions of our government. We are there to tell the world that there is a ICE CONCENTRATION CAMP just two blocks away.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are not there merely to make propaganda against ICE. We are there to make propaganda against fear. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvery car that honks in support as they pass is in a small way joining the Resistance. Many who honk may be expressing themselves against ICE terror for the first time. This breaks the ice\, and makes it easier for them to take the next steps. It helps them help others to overcome their fear. We are there to cause a ripple effect. To fight against the terror visited on immigrants\, we need to fight against our own internalized terror. We have nothing to fear. We are America\, fighting back.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you REGISTER by FRIDAY\, you will be notified of cancellations by email. All events held rain or shine & only cancel for large storms or high winds. We recommend dressing comfortably for the weather and bring a water bottle.
