SUMMARY:Origami in Action : Birds of Peace & Compassion
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we continue to learn the basics of origami\, and explore various types of birds. We will discuss using our newly learned in skills in creating origami as a protest art. You are welcome to come\, relax\, and join us in simply creating origami. \n\n\n\nOr\, you have the option to join us in the following action…. \n\n\n\nWe hope to create as many origami birds as possible. Long considered a symbol of peace and hope\, we plan to come together and deliver them to the nearest ice detention center on President’s Day\, February 16\, 2026. \n\n\n\nPerhaps we’ll gather them in a garland to hang on a fence or from a tree. It won’t matter if there is one bird or an entire flock—the symbolism is the same: In these times of chaos and lack of empathy\, where hatred is made acceptable\, we will stand together for peace. We will stand for the love of one another. We will recognize the inherent worth of all of us\, no matter from where we come. We will reaffirm that all people deserve to be treated with respect\, justice\, equity and compassion. \n\n\n\nWe welcome you to join us. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for exact address\n\n\n\nMore Info and dates\n\n\n\n\nFeel free to contact us with any questions you might have\, at salemscall@yahoo.com. \n\n\n\nThis is a free workshop. Donations appreciated\, but certainly not required. \n\n\n\nLocated at Deborah & Meara’s house \n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

SUMMARY:Nashoba Indivisible Meeting with collection for WHEAT
DESCRIPTION:We will start promptly at 6:30pm. We have a presentation by a Braver Angels representative at 7pm: \n\n\n\nIn this polarized time\, we lack basic understanding of why people on the other political side hold their beliefs. We don’t see them as they see themselves–their core values and central concerns–but instead as we choose to see them. We are tempted to regard our own side as principled and the other side as self-interested. \n\n\n\nWhen we try to communicate across this gap\, we often lack the skills for listening carefully\, looking for common ground\, and sharing our perspectives in ways that connect rather than create more misunderstanding. \n\n\n\nWe can learn to disagree better in polarized times\, which means accurately seeing where we differ and where we share common ground. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nGoals \n\n\n\n\nMore understanding of the values and concerns of people who differ from you politically\n\n\n\nBetter skills for listening in a way so that the other person feels heard\n\n\n\nBetter skills for sharing viewpoints in a way the other person might hear — even if they disagree\n\n\n\n\nMore information here: https://ma.braverangels.org \n\n\n\nWe will be accepting donations for WHEAT at this event.

SUMMARY:Winning in 2026: What are our marching orders?
DESCRIPTION:Join Greater Andover Indivisible for an in-person panel discussion on what is at stake in the 2026 elections and the steps that we together will take to secure not just wins\, but a genuine Blue Wave. \n\n\n\nThere is no denying that 2025 was hard. Living under the fascist regime that is the Trump “Administration” was a daily assault on our senses–and our morality. \n\n\n\nBut there were signs of hope by the end of the year. Democrats won big in November’s off-year elections; closed the gap in a Tennessee Republican stronghold; and stopped Trump’s gerrymandering plan in Indiana. As Indivisible co-founder Leah Greenberg wrote: “This is what it looks like when a would-be dictator tries to bully his way into power—and fails. It’s a sign that rule-by-fear is breaking down. It’s a flashing warning light that the wheels are coming off the fascism bus.” \n\n\n\nNow\, as we turn the page to 2026\, we need to slash the tires on said bus. In other words\, we need to deliver massive Democratic wins in the November midterm elections. Why? Because it is only by securing a Blue Wave that we can effectively counter the last two years of Donald Trump’s presidency. \n\n\n\n\nGet Zoom Link\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a panel discussion on what is at stake in the 2026 elections and the steps that we will take to secure not just wins\, but a genuine Blue Wave. We’ll also look at the ramifications of a Blue Wave–and the consequences of falling short. Most importantly\, we will discuss what we\, as activists\, can do to ensure victory not just in Massachusetts\, but nationwide.

SUMMARY:What's the Plan
DESCRIPTION:The chaos out of the White House is meant to overwhelm us. Our antidote is community. Join Indivisible co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin every Thursday to break down the week’s biggest political stories\, answer your questions\, and map out strategies for taking action. \n\n\n\n\nGet Zoom Link\n\n\n\n\nThis is people-powered politics in real time. Questions can be submitted via the Q&A function during the live event. \n\n\n\nReal talk. Real people. Real action. That’s the plan.
