DESCRIPTION:Nathan Lockwood is Co-Founder and Director of Advancement & Strategy of Rank the Vote. He led the organization as Executive Director from June\, 2021 through 2024\, growing annual revenue ten-fold and leading the development of state partner organizations through their first staff hires and local campaign wins. Informing that work going back to 2017\, Nathan played a leading role in founding and growing Voter Choice Massachusetts both as the regional lead for Central Massachusetts and through various statewide roles. He also served on the board of directors of the Voter Choice Education Fund. Prior to his involvement in election reform\, Nathan was an elected official in the Town of Lunenburg for 7 years\, where he and his wife raised their two children. His career in the software industry spanned 25 years and included engineering\, design\, and management roles. He holds a BA in Philosophy from Yale University. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nAfter our speaker\, we will have an opportunity to do some specific actions related to his talk\, such as letter writing\, calls or related action.

Join us for our Team ENOUGH welcome session to learn more about the different ways you can engage. \n\n\n\nTeam ENOUGH is a youth-led program whose mission is to educate young voices about gun violence and mobilize them to take meaningful action against it. Supported by Brady United\, we harness the expertise and experience of today’s youth to advance our intersectional work across the country. \n\n\n\nLed by an Executive Council\, comprised of students just like us\, we believe that diversity is a strength\, and that only when everyone has a seat at the table can we build an effective movement to prevent all gun violence in all communities. \n\n\n\nFor us\, preventing gun violence not only requires regulating access to firearms but also addressing how systemic racism and environmental factors cause this form of bloodshed to run especially rampant in communities of color. DESCRIPTION:Join us as we continue to learn the basics of origami\, and explore various types of birds\, at the BitBar!. We will discuss using our newly learned in skills in creating origami as a protest art. You are welcome to come\, relax\, and join us in simply creating origami. \n\n\n\nOr\, you have the option to join us in the following action…. \n\n\n\nWe hope to create as many origami birds as possible. Long considered a symbol of peace and hope\, we plan to come together and deliver them to the nearest ice detention center on President’s Day\, February 16\, 2026. \n\n\n\nPerhaps we’ll gather them in a garland to hang on a fence or from a tree. It won’t matter if there is one bird or an entire flock—the symbolism is the same: In these times of chaos and lack of empathy\, where hatred is made acceptable\, we will stand together for peace. We will stand for the love of one another. We will recognize the inherent worth of all of us\, no matter from where we come. The committee is looking for gently used and new winter coats for children\, women\, and men in all adult sizes. DESCRIPTION:One of the goals in creating MAMA Discord server was to help bridge the generational gap we are seeing with many activist groups right now\, particularly within Indivisible chapters. Toward that end\, we started a Discord Workshop\, in collaboration with Indivisible Acton Area chapter. \n\n\n\n\nGet Link!\n\n\n\n\nThis workshop is right after the weekly zoom check-in with the national organizers for Indivisible\, since it is particularly geared toward Indivisible members in MA chapters. Though of course everyone is welcome to join. \n\n\n\nWe’re going to spend the first 30min-1hr helping people to install Discord on their devices and showing them the ropes. How the servers work\, what kind of tools are available\, how to make posts and share things\, how to mute channels and manage the chatter\, and so on. We will also talk about other apps and tools people commonly use such as Signal and Slack. The next hour of the workshop will be optional and open-ended for asking questions and exploring the MAMA server.
