SUMMARY:READINESS\, RESILIENCE\, AND RESISTANCE: A Workshop For What Lies Ahead
DESCRIPTION:In response to the U.S. becoming increasingly autocratic\, this two-hour workshop by the Boston Trainers Collective (BTC) provides a framework for building readiness and resilience as a foundation for long-term resistance\, personal and collective care\, and preparedness for other challenges that may lie ahead such as climate-related crises\, social unrest\, and economic volatility. Participants will leave with concrete steps that can be taken immediately to start building readiness and resilience as individuals\, organizations\, and communities. A one-hour de-escalation training will be paired with this workshop. \n\n\n\nResilience is the ability to adapt\, bounce back\, and grow from stress\, adversity\, and trauma. It involves developing skills\, behaviors\, and mindsets like healthy habits\, strong social connections\, and problem-solving. These elements allow individuals and communities to cope with challenges\, manage mental health\, and even use difficult experiences for personal growth. \n\n\n\nOur trainers will teach us about how to prepare ourselves\, emotionally and physically\, for the trump regime and what they are unleashing on our country. \n\n\n\nWe will also learn about de-escalation. Many of you have experienced an issue with an agitator during your demonstrations; we want to help you navigate those. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nDoors open at 9am.
