SUMMARY:Community Resilience\, Readiness and Resistance Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Building our capacity for resilience is an important component of the community organizing work we’re doing here in eastern Massachusetts. The current administration is going to be in power at least through January 2029. That is 38 more months. They have only been in power for 11 months so far\, which means that we are only about 20% of the way through this presidential term. Figuring out ways to stay engaged will be critical because we are all needed – particularly as we become more comfortable with being engaged in resistance activity and as we move into noncooperation activities. We can each find our own ways of making this work sustainable but it will take some openness to learning\, experimentation\, and practice. \n\n\n\nThis two-hour workshop by the Boston Trainers Collective (BTC) is designed to promote collective resilience and community safety. Participants will be taught a framework for cultivating readiness and resilience as a foundation for long-term resistance\, personal and collective care\, and preparedness for the wide range of other challenges that may lie ahead such as climate-related crises\, social unrest\, and economic volatility. Participants will leave with concrete steps that can be taken immediately to start building readiness and resilience as individuals\, organizations\, and communities. \n\n\n\nFounded by Rebecca Riccio\, the BTC is a group of volunteer activists and organizers associated with a variety of racial and social justice-oriented organizations in Greater Boston. \n\n\n\nBring a friend or two! It’s a great workshop\, even for those not involved in a movement. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nPlease contribute $10 via cash or Venmo when you arrive. This is to cover expenses – pizza\, refreshments and a small thank you gift for trainers\, etc. \n\n\n\nParking: there is a small (and regularly full) lot behind the library. Metered parking can be found along High Street and the perpendicular streets. There is also a public lot located one block away at 11 Governors Ave (Behind Colleen’s Ice Cream)

SUMMARY:Team ENOUGH Welcome Session (For Young People Under 26)
DESCRIPTION:Are you a young person between 13 and 25 years old who is interested in taking action around preventing gun violence? Join us for our Team ENOUGH welcome session to learn more about the different ways you can engage. \n\n\n\nTeam ENOUGH is a youth-led program whose mission is to educate young voices about gun violence and mobilize them to take meaningful action against it. Supported by Brady United\, we harness the expertise and experience of today’s youth to advance our intersectional work across the country. \n\n\n\nLed by an Executive Council\, comprised of students just like us\, we believe that diversity is a strength\, and that only when everyone has a seat at the table can we build an effective movement to prevent all gun violence in all communities. \n\n\n\nFor us\, preventing gun violence not only requires regulating access to firearms but also addressing how systemic racism and environmental factors cause this form of bloodshed to run especially rampant in communities of color. You cannot talk about gun violence without talking about police brutality\, white supremacy\, the broken criminal justice system\, poverty\, homophobia\, access to affordable housing\, or the often barriers separating disadvantaged populations from physical and mental healthcare. \n\n\n\n\nGet Zoom Link\n\n\n\n\nSo if you share this belief\, join us for our Team ENOUGH welcome session and become part of the movement to end gun violence in our lifetime.

SUMMARY:Solidarity Mobilization 2 Part Training Series
DESCRIPTION:Across the country\, immigrant communities are under attack\, and authoritarian forces are gaining ground. But there’s a growing movement of people ready to take action with clarity\, courage\, and discipline. This training is for all of us who want to stand in solidarity\, especially those prepared to organize\, respond\, and show up with commitment and care. Join us for Solidarity Mobilizations\, a powerful two-part training series hosted by National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) and Solidarity Organizing Initiative (SOI). We’ll break down the political moment we’re in\, the authoritarian playbook driving these attacks\, and share key concepts and tools to empower each of us to play the role we are called to in pushing back effectively and strategically. Each session will have live transcription and will be recorded. The recording will be sent out to everyone who registers within 48 hours after each session. In these two 75-minute sessions\, you will: Learn to recognize and anticipate “Moments of Crisis” — and why they’re central to the authoritarian strategy Understand how direct support and crisis response work together in immigrant justice organizing Get grounded in the principles of strategic noncooperation and how it builds people power Learn how to build on direct support for immigrant communities Get clear on the next steps you’re taking in your community \n\n\n\nWhether you’re brand new or have been in the fight for years\, this training will give you political clarity\, strategic tools\, and an invitation to deepen your solidarity within our movement. This is just the beginning. Let’s get ready together. \n\n\n\nLearn more about NDLON here: https://ndlon.org/ Learn more about SOI here: https://solidaritypledge.org/?source=NDLON

SUMMARY:Solidarity in Action: Resilience for Sustainable Activism
DESCRIPTION:Many of us entered movement work out of urgency and many of us are exhausted by it. The Resilience Toolkit offers an embodied\, justice-aligned framework for sustaining activism over the long arc of the struggle. Rather than treating burnout\, reactivity and conflict as personal failures\, The Toolkit helps us understand them as predictable stress and trauma responses – and equips us with real-time regulation skills that expand our capacity to stay engaged without collapse or numbness. \n\n\n\nTogether\, we’ll explore: How stress and trauma shape movement behavior (withdrawal\, escalation\, fracture) and how embodied stabilization interrupts those patterns in real time \n\n\n\nEmbodied solidarity: how listening\, repair\, and collective care become possible only when the nervous system has enough bandwidth \n\n\n\nRest and joy as conditions of political strategy\, not rewards for after the work is done \n\n\n\n\nGet Zoom Link\n\n\n\n\nPractical tools to increase steadiness and discernment into movement\, organizing\, and mutual aid work \n\n\n\nThis conversation connects the inner work of healing and reflection with the outer work of solidarity and action — helping us build movements that are both resilient and humane. \n\n\n\n“How we breathe\, listen\, rest\, and relate is political.” \n\n\n\nWhether you’re a longtime organizer\, new to activism\, or simply seeking to live your values more fully\, this session offers inspiration and embodied tools to help you put solidarity into action every day.

SUMMARY:Wachusett-Watatic Indivisible Network: Open Member Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next open member meeting as we come together to discuss\, strategize\, and spark action for a brighter democratic future in our community. We will gather to share updates\, plan upcoming initiatives\, and foster connections among our members from Gardner and its surrounding towns. Whether you’re new to our group or with us from the start\, your voice and participation are vital. Together\, we can amplify our impact and ensure that democracy thrives in North Central Mass. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
