SUMMARY:Hands Across Riley: Human Chain for Peace\, & Standout Rally
DESCRIPTION:We will be gathering to join hands in solidarity against the multiple actions of the Trump administration\, and literally make a human chain. This will be followed by a moment of silence. It is inspired by the “Hands Across High” campaign in Colombus\, OH. \n\n\n\nMany of us come\, each with our own reasons. Some are opposed most by the cuts to Medicaid\, others by the push for deportations\, or the camps built to house detainees. Still others oppose the elimination of research or ALL of the myriad of other actions of the current regime. This event gives us all a chance to join together in solidarity\, and support each other\, no matter our motivation. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for Updates\n\n\n\n\nAt 6:00 pm we will have a Standout Rally\, so bring your signs (we’ll provide one if you don’t have one)\, and get ready to get honked at! At 7:00 pm the “HANDS ACROSS RILEY” begins. We welcome all of you to join us. \n\n\n\nThis a local Indivisible event! \n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
