DESCRIPTION:About the Vigil: \n\n\n\nWeek after week\, people are dying in ICE detention and in encounters with immigration enforcement. In March\, we mourned Emmanuel Cleeford Damas. In recent weeks\, we have mourned the killings of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Joan Sebastián Guerrero\, as well as another victim in Florida. Their names join a growing list of lives stolen by a system that continues to destroy lives. Families are disappearing into detention centers as entire communities are forced to live in fear. \n\n\n\nIn response to these devastating killings and the escalating ICE presence targeting our neighbors\, join the LUCE network and community organizations for a 24-hour vigil in front of the Massachusetts State House in Boston. \n\n\n\nTogether\, we will honor the lives of those who have been killed\, support communities impacted by immigration enforcement\, and affirm our collective power to grieve\, organize\, and demand justice. DESCRIPTION:This a local Indivisible event! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHANDS OFF BEVERLY has been holding weekly peaceful protests since February 17\, 2025. On Saturdays we are typically between 130 and 400 people. On the big national days of protest (NO KINGS) we are in the thousands. We have signs and cowbells to borrow\, bubbles and the best music by our tireless DJ Jim. We have a permit from the Beverly Police Department and marshals to assist people and answer questions. The best part of our protests are the people. DESCRIPTION:Speechifying\, Shakespeare\, & Sea Shanties! Every week\, we stand on Burlington Mall Road with signs\, costumes and flags. We come out to show support for our immigrant neighbors\, express our shame at ICE\, and build community in opposition to the cruel and unconstitutional actions of our government. We are there to tell the world that there is a ICE CONCENTRATION CAMP just two blocks away.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are not there merely to make propaganda against ICE. We are there to make propaganda against fear. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvery car that honks in support as they pass is in a small way joining the Resistance. Many who honk may be expressing themselves against ICE terror for the first time. This breaks the ice\, and makes it easier for them to take the next steps. It helps them help others to overcome their fear. We are there to cause a ripple effect. To fight against the terror visited on immigrants\, we need to fight against our own internalized terror. We have nothing to fear. We are America\, fighting back.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you REGISTER by FRIDAY\, you will be notified of cancellations by email. DESCRIPTION:Join Indivisible Plymouth and 18 other local Indivisible and human rights groups Saturday\, July 25\, 2-3:30pm for ICE OUT OF PLYMOUTH at PCCF\, 26 Long Pond Rd\, Plymouth for a peaceful\, non-violent protest and vigil. \n\n\n\nThe Resistance Street Choir will be singing. There will be speakers and a vigil. Freeze pops to benefit BIJAN immigrant services. \n\n\n\nPCCF is the ONLY facility in Massachusetts with an active ICE agreement – and it comes with 25+ years of reported abuse. “l wish people knew the suffering we go through here\,” says Carlos\, one of the people detained there.
