These effects will intensify—especially in sanctuary cities—as plans are underway to add 10\,000 new agents and expand detention facilities. But we demand limits on I.C.E. overreach and a balanced approach to public safety. Join us in showing Massachusetts stands for immigrant rights\, defends due process\, and rejects secret police tactics.

DESCRIPTION:As you may know\, on July 31 the district court ordered that the termination of TPS for Honduras\, Nepal\, and Nicaragua may not take effect until at least November 18 (with the possibility of further extension). \n\n\n\nThe U.S. government is now appealing this decision. They are seeking an emergency order from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to allow TPS terminations to take effect as originally scheduled: \n\n\n\n\nNepal: August 5\n\n\n\nHonduras and Nicaragua: September 8\n\n\n\n\nThe appeals court will hold a hearing on Tuesday\, August 19\, 2025\, at 2:00 p.m. PT\, which will be livestreamed for public viewing. The Ninth Circuit could issue its decision as early as next week\, and we will share updates as soon as we have more information. \n\n\n\nFinally\, there are two ways you can take action to defend TPS: \n\n\n\n1.
