Starting Location: Paul Revere Park – N Washington St\, Boston Waypoints: Davis Square in Somerville at 10:45am\, 3.9 miles Arlington Center at 11:30am\, 3.8 milesEnd Location: Minuteman Bikeway\, Lexington Center\, 5 miles \n\n\n\nWear a pro-democracy costume or message on your clothing\, bag\, bike\, or flag. Bring water\, snacks\, packed lunch\, sunscreen\, bike lock\, and other ride supplies. \n\n\n\nWe bike on a combination of bike paths and roads for a total of 12.7 miles\, but you can join or end your ride at the waypoints where we rest and rally. Please look for the donation boxes in the center of the rotary by the monument. \n\n\n\nRemember to bring water and hat It gets hot our here! \n\n\n\nIt’s best to park at Bay State Commons\, 600 Union Street\, and walk about 2 blocks to Main Street and the rotary. Please try to leave the parking spots closest to the Commons’ businesses open for business patrons. For people with mobility challenges\, there is limited parking on Main Street on a first come\, first served basis. Here are some important ground rules. We cannot disrupt traffic. Please stay out of the street\, and always use crosswalks. This is a peaceful protest. If someone becomes aggressive towards one of us\, we should all be ready to de-escalate the situation (don’t respond to the aggressor\, walk away\, find a volunteer with a reflecting vest or a Westborough Police Officer). Please look out for each other. DESCRIPTION:Essential to stopping MAGA’s evil acts are state-based grassroots efforts built from the bottom-up to win and hold power. North Carolina is one of the key places to do that\, as evidenced by Sen. Tillis’s announcements of his opposition and his decision not to run for re-election.  Would Sen. Murkowski have joined him if she were up in 2026? \n\n\n\nWe at All In for NC try to focus during each two-year election cycle on a small number of places and organizations where we can add the most value to the great work of local North Carolina groups. \n\n\n\nThis fall\, we will focus on five counties in North Central to Northeast NC. From west to east\, they are Granville\, Vance\, Franklin\, Nash\, and Wilson counties. We will also continue our work in Mecklenburg County. \n\n\n\nWe are focusing on these counties because  \n\n\n\n\n Six of the eight closest races for state legislature in 2024 occurred there\, including the three statehouse victories that broke the Republican supermajority and gave Gov. Stein the ability to veto the stream of anti-democratic\, anti-reproductive health\, anti-public school\, and anti-gun safety laws the Republicans send him.  \n\n\n\nMost of them are in the swingiest Congressional District in the state\, CD -1\, which Don Davis won by 1.7% last year.  \n\n\n\nThese growth counties near the Triangle are typical of the swing parts of North Carolina and elsewhere. They range from 42\,300–95\,600 people. Each swing district in this area has a potential for more than 16\,000 voters per county for our candidates if we can reach\, persuade\, and then mobilize them.  Building power and winning elections here will be a model for rebuilding Democratic power in small-town and rural America.  Community groups—Down Home NC\, NC APRI\, Advance Carolina\, County to County—and county Democratic parties are building operations in these places and have asked for our help.\n\n\n\n\nThis month we are raising funds for this work already: Down Home NC Intensive Rural Organizing.  In September we will set up phone banks and begin canvassing for this work. \n\n\n\nIn addition to this new focus\, we will continue our work to build Democratic turnout in Mecklenburg County\, the largest pool of non-voting Democrats in the state and home to three other very close legislative districts—two held narrowly by Democrats\, one lost narrowly. DESCRIPTION:The Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program is under attack under the Trump Administration. Currently over one million immigrants from 17 countries are at risk of losing their TPS protection regardless of if it is safe to return to countries experiencing war and other disasters. Right now the Trump Administration has announced the termination of TPS for approximately 600\,000 Venezuelans and 500\,000 Haitians\, 9\,360 Afghans\, 3\,485 Cameroon\, 7\,505 Nepalese\, 2\,935 Nicaraguans\, 52\,585 Hondurans\, but we know that is just the beginning of his attempts to remove people living in the United States legally. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTPS was created in 1990 by Congress to provide a clear process for America to live out its founding ideals by providing humanitarian assistance to people fleeing war and natural disasters. The people who receive TPS protections have become integral to local communities\, we are your co-workers and neighbors\, we shop at local businesses and we pay taxes that help improve the lives of everyone. Many of us have had children while living here who are US citizens that go to school with your children or are taught by you in your classrooms. Removal of TPS protections will have widespread impacts on 1.5 million people across the United States with TPS status\, not to mention the millions of US citizen school aged children of TPS holders. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n On July 29\, attorneys representing the Alliance will present an emergency motion before a new judge\, who has taken over this case\, to protect families with TPS from these countries. It is critical for our communities to be visible and united at this moment. \n\n\n\n Then\, on August 1\, the attorneys will present a motion before Judge Edward Chen\, urging him to make a final decision in the case defending TPS protections for Venezuela and Haiti. \n\n\n\nThis is urgent: the Supreme Court removed emergency protections\, and now Venezuelan families are already being deported to their country of origin. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n We must stand together and show up to defend our communities and demand permanent protection for all TPS families. \n\n\n\nThe Comite TPS Massachusetts is one of the leading TPS Committees in the National TPS Alliance. We are reaching out today with urgency. \n\n\n\nOn Tuesday\, July 29th\,2025 at 5:00 PM\, we will be holding a Vigil in front of the Federal Building in Boston to raise awareness and show solidarity with families at risk of losing their TPS protections. \n\n\n\nMeet at City Hall Plaza in front of the John F.
