We call on our state senators and representatives to pass crucial legislation that will keep our communities safe: An Act Ensuring Law Enforcement Identification and Public Trust (HD.4886)\, the Location Shield Act (HD2965/SD501)\, the Dignity Not Deportations Act (HD3596/SD1107)\, Immigrant Legal Defense Act (H.1954 / S.1127)\, the Safe Communities Act.(H.2580 / S.1681) 4. We call on Governor Maura Healey to use her authority to protect Massachusetts’ immigrant communities by declaring a statewide policy of non-cooperation with ICE and other federal agencies that ignore due process and act outside the rule of law. Statewide policy shall include that if called to the scene\, local or state police will act to prevent extrajudicial kidnappings of MA residents. They shall verify a) the authenticity of an agent’s identification (i.e.\, badge)\, and b) their authority to arrest the person in question (i.e.\, warrant). 5. We call on Attorney General Andrea Campbell to pursue prosecution of ICE for kidnapping Massachusetts residents under state law. 6. We also call on Attorney General (AG) Campbell to prosecute federal agents\, who are by law required to identify themselves\, but refuse to by wearing masks and not showing badges; as well as any non-agent individuals serving as MAGA mercenaries while impersonating federal agents. \n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturdays 10am-12 to Stand Out with your signs of protest and support. We are a small but mighty group that gains new activists each week. Our high visibility location is very impactful and fulfilling. Meet fellow patriots to join your voices in Solidarity. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for parking info and updates\n\n\n\n\nHosted by: Westborough Community Action We are a group of concerned Massachusetts citizens who live in Westborough and surrounding towns. Our mission is to build trust and relationships between local communities as we face the growing risks of authoritarianism\, the erosion of civil liberties\, the worsening economy\, and climate change \n\n\n\nAttendee feedback: “It was great seeing new people joining our weekly protest today\, including all ages\, including kids. We are fighting authoritarianism with next to no help from the courts or Congress. So we need to keep appearing and protesting while our resistance movement coalesces. We hold the power! Remember Navalny” Doug C. \n\n\n\nWE ARE COLLECTING DONATIONS FOR THE WESTBOROUGH FOOD PANTRY AND WESTBOROUGH PET FOOD PANTRY. Please look for the donation boxes in the center of the rotary by the monument. \n\n\n\nRemember to bring water and hat It gets hot our here! \n\n\n\nIt’s best to park at Bay State Commons\, 600 Union Street\, and walk about 2 blocks to Main Street and the rotary. Please try to leave the parking spots closest to the Commons’ businesses open for business patrons. For people with mobility challenges\, there is limited parking on Main Street on a first come\, first served basis.  \n\n\n\nHere are some important ground rules. We cannot disrupt traffic. Please stay out of the street\, and always use crosswalks. This is a peaceful protest. If someone becomes aggressive towards one of us\, we should all be ready to de-escalate the situation (don’t respond to the aggressor\, walk away\, find a volunteer with a reflecting vest or a Westborough Police Officer). Please look out for each other. We have been in contact with the Westborough Police\, and they fully support our right to PEACEFULLY protest. \n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.Read less

DESCRIPTION:This a local Indivisible event! \n\n\n\nTyngsboro Indivisible will be out at the bridge in the town center again (as we are every other Saturday) from 11-1 on Saturday 8/9. There is no suggested theme this week\, but this administration gives us sooo much to work with. Bring a sign\, or we will have extras.
