We do not block the entrance\, we do not physically approach ICE agents as they walk to/from the parking lot\, and we do not block traffic on District Ave. \n\n\n\nSigns \n\n\n\nThis is a very targeted action outside the ICE facility\, so it’s not the venue for protesting other causes. Even though we care deeply about other issues\, while outside ICE we must remain focused on immigration.  \n\n\n\nParking and other tips \n\n\n\nFor parking\, please use the Macy’s overflow lot (75 Burlington Mall Road\, follow signs for Macy’s\, see map). For those with mobility challenges\, please keep in mind that the lots closest to ICE — the FAA lot beside ICE and the BAE Systems lot directly across the street from ICE — have both been blocked off. There are restaurants nearby (Clover\, Pressed Cafe\, Chipotle) to get food and use the bathroom. Join us for Solidarity Mobilizations\, a powerful two-part training series hosted by National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) and Solidarity Organizing Initiative (SOI). Supported by Brady United\, we harness the expertise and experience of today’s youth to advance our intersectional work across the country. \n\n\n\nLed by an Executive Council\, comprised of students just like us\, we believe that diversity is a strength\, and that only when everyone has a seat at the table can we build an effective movement to prevent all gun violence in all communities. \n\n\n\nFor us\, preventing gun violence not only requires regulating access to firearms but also addressing how systemic racism and environmental factors cause this form of bloodshed to run especially rampant in communities of color. Democracy renovation reconnects people to civic life and redesigns our political institutions and civic infrastructure so people have the tools they need to be responsible and effective citizens— and politicians have the incentives they need to deliver responsive and accountable representation. \n\n\n\nDanielle is a founder of multiple civic organizations including the Civics and History Inquiry Partnership\, Educating for American Democracy\, and Partners In Democracy. DESCRIPTION:Brookline Rally for Democracy \n\n\n\nJoin us every Saturday\, 2:00-3:00 pm for a peaceful\, pro-democracy rally at Coolidge Corner in Brookline as we raise our voices against the abuses of the Trump administration. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nWe stand for: \n\n\n\no Immigrant rights\, human rights\, and anti-racism \n\n\n\no Free speech\, the Constitution\, and the rule of law \n\n\n\no Healthcare and Social Security \n\n\n\no The protection of our planet \n\n\n\nWe stand for empathy over cruelty\, peace over violence\, and an end to the devastating wars in Gaza\, Ukraine\, and Iran. We stand for democracy\, justice\, and a future we can be proud to leave to the next generation. \n\n\n\nThis will be a spirited\, peaceful gathering—bring your voice\, your friends\, and your signs! All are welcome\, including participants with walkers\, wheelchairs\, scooters\, and other mobility devices. \n\n\n\nThis weekly event is hosted by Speak Out\, Seniors! and we invite all generations to join us in standing up for democracy—one rally at a time. SUMMARY:Get ICE out of Home Depot -Natick
DESCRIPTION:All over the country\, ICE agents are targeting immigrants in and around Home Depot\, and these atrocities are happening on Home Depot’s watch\, on its properties\, with its silence. \n\n\n\nThe Home Depot has not publicly resisted or condemned these raids or demanded that the Administration stop assaulting and abducting people on and outside its properties. With its silence and inaction\, Home Depot has become ICE’s passive partner. \n\n\n\nIn order to show up for immigrant community members and defeat authoritarianism\, we must engage in the dual strategy of electing people who will stand up to Trump\, and engaging in noncooperation (also known as civil resistance). Movements with no civil resistance actions\, stopping democratic backsliding only happens 7.5% of the time. With a civil resistance added to the movement\, that percentage goes up to 51.7%! \n\n\n\nIn addition to this\, we need to run civil resistance campaigns that hit the power holders where it hurts! When we do symbolic actions like one day protests and vigils\, which are useful in their own way\, power holders can easily ignore them. When we engage in actions that cost money like a boycott\, cost elected leaders their seats\, or stop business as usual\, they are far more likely to respond. So we engage in noncooperation because we must impose real and tangible costs to powerholders’ bottom-lines! \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nSuggested signs: \n\n\n\nICE out of Home Depot We Ain’t Buying it – stand with immigrant neighbors! If you work with ICE\, we freeze our spending \n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
