DESCRIPTION:The FreeHer Campaign has held a rally at the MA State House for Valentine’s Day every year since 2022 to send love to women inside MCI-Framingham\, and call for de-carceration and an end to new prison construction. This year we will hold a vigil for the grief and rage families are feeling while being torn apart by incarceration and deportation. As always\, we will uplift the voices of women inside MCI-Framingham. Join us any time from 4:30 to 6:00 pm to demand the release of women\, stopping the $360 million women’s prison project\, getting ICE out of Massachusetts\, and investing in what our communities need to thrive. Events are being planned throughout the U.S. and in many foreign countries to demand that Trump and the Republican-led Congress stop their unconstitutional power grab and the cruel destruction of our federal government. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo publicize the No Kings protests\, we plan to hold signs from 4:30 to 5:30 pm on three dates in March at high visibility locations in Arlington. SUMMARY:Speak Their Names: A Boston Massacre Anniversary Vigil | Protest in Dedham
DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by Neponset Valley Progressives and Dedham Democrats \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen shots were fired in Boston on March 5\, 1770\, colonists responded with outrage\, demanding a government that answered to and protected the people.  The parallels between events culminating in the Boston Massacre\, and those taking place today are striking. Like British troops back then\, ICE and CBP agents are occupying our cities to enforce\, even violently\, the whims of an autocrat. To highlight those parallels\, Neponset Valley Progressives and the Dedham Democratic Town Committee will sponsor a candlelight vigil in Dedham Square. On that date\, we will hold (already-created) signs bearing the names of each person killed by ICE and CBP along with those who have died in ICE custody. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn March 5\, 2026\, we gather in that same spirit for a candlelight vigil to remember those who have died in ICE custody and to resist policies that strip people of their rights. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe need at least 50 people to hold signs memorializing the 40+ people who have died in ICE custody since early 2025. We will supply the signs and candles. Church bells will ring and songs will be sung. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister for Updates\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. SUMMARY:Standout for Democracy | Protest in Methuen
DESCRIPTION:This a local Indivisible event! Our standout is comprised of a group of seniors who decided to do more than watch the news\, become upset\, anxious\, and feel powerless about what is happening in and to our country. We began a peaceful protest action to register our displeasure! We wanted to demonstrate in a way that empowered us and allowed us to take back some control and voice our concerns. Our motto is “WE MARCHED THEN\, WE MARCH NOW.” Since we range in age from the 70s to 90s\, we try to standout on Fridays from 1pm to 2pm. We standout weather permitting so we would not standout in the rain or snow. We are looking forward to warmer weather.
