SUMMARY:Target and Home Depot De-Shopping Demonstrations | Protest Events
DESCRIPTION:ICE OUT! JOIN US FOR A DE-SHOPPING DEMONSTRATION.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n📍 Feb 26 – 10 AM – Home Depot 85 Main St Tewksbury 📍 Feb 28 – 10 AM- Target 181 Plain St Lowell \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor decades\, Home Depot has profited from immigrant labor—now its silence enables ICE raids that terrorize workers and communities. Target has also allowed ICE activity while backing policies that harm immigrants. They are both supporting this regime of domestic terrorists.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe demand that Home Depot and Target: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPublicly condemn ICE raids \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStop cooperating with ICE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProtect workers and customers \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRefuse access to private spaces without a judicial warrant \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStand with our communities\, not support the terror against them \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCorporations cannot profit from our communities while allowing them to be attacked. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt Home Depot\, we will load our carriages with ICE Scrapers and / or de-icer\, and purchase them (until they sell out). Then we will all get in the customer service line to return them.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt Target\, we will load our carriages with a container of Salt\, and purchase it. Then we will all get in the customer service line to return them. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT- BRING CASH!! No need for them to have our info to tattle to ICE\, and it takes longer for a cash purchase and return.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n✊ Nonviolent action. Community defense. ICE OUT. Join us. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRSVP for Updates\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

SUMMARY:Talk to Our Neighbors About ICE | Phone Bank with SURJ!
DESCRIPTION:Right now is the time to intervene. To step up. To move our people. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs the Trump Administration continues to deploy violent ICE agents to our nation’s cities\, we remain clear and centered on the following truths: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhite working class Americans have so much to gain by standing in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors.\n\n\n\nTrump’s aggressive and violent deployment of ICE is causing many white working class communities to re-evaluate their views and beliefs on immigration.\n\n\n\nListening-forward conversations that support people to reflect on their values\, feelings and experiences can shift their attitudes\, perspective and behavior.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThat’s why we’re channeling these truths into a powerful action that you can take with us. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin SURJ to talk to key white working class voters about their feelings on Trump’s immigration policies and deployment of ICE in the key congressional districts that will determine control of the House in the 2026 elections. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTogether\, we can move the needle and build power. No prior experience needed – we’ll provide all the resources\, training and support you need to phone bank with us to have these critical conversations at a critical juncture for shaping public opinion and our society’s commonsense beliefs around immigration policy \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister for Details

DESCRIPTION:Greater Assabet Indivisible Network (GAIN) invites you to stand in solidarity with immigrants and resistance to ICE and their cruel and lawless detention of our neighbors Thursdays from 11am-1pm. Regardless of any other political views\, you are welcome to join us and demand Justice 4 All so long as you do so non-violently. \n\n\n\nOur friends at Bearing Witness have been hosting gatherings at this location for many weeks. We are an unaffiliated group\, but very much aligned with their values and mission. Our goal is to add to the total number of hours that citizens stand in non-violent opposition to the deplorable detainment conditions at this location. If you have been to Bearing Witness on Wednesdays\, we would love to have you at Justice 4 All Thursdays. \n\n\n\nSchedule \n\n\n\n11:00-11:30 Welcome; music; announcements11:30-12:30 Stand with signs along District Ave12:30-1:00 Optional short march down to Mall Rd. \n\n\n\n\nJoin the Email List\n\n\n\nRead past Substack articles\n\n\n\n\nWeather \n\n\n\nAll attendees are ultimately responsible for making their own decisions about travel.  The organizers are going to use the following guidelines to modify or cancel events in advance.  A sudden change in conditions just before or during events\, such as a tornado warning or severe thunderstorm warning\, could happen and organizers will do their best to communicate any decisions appropriately. \n\n\n\n\n\nNo change to event:Normal to heavy RainWindy\, but no warningsLight snow on ground\, but not falling \n\n\n\nCancel:Burlington schools cancelledTemp/Wind Chill < 20FStorm advisory with snow or high wind predictedFreezing rain falling or predicted \n\n\n\n\n\nShorten event in advance\, limit to standout:Temp/Wind Chill < 30FTemp Ok\, but ground wetDeep snow in grassy area\, sidewalks clear \n\n\n\n\n\nWhat happens at this ICE office? \n\n\n\nICE personnel depart from District Ave. in unmarked vans with tinted windows on missions to abduct immigrants across New England. Immigrants may also show up at the office for appointments. The facility on District Ave was never intended to be a detention center\, yet immigration lawyers and media interviews reveal that people are now being housed here in conditions that have been called “abysmal” and “unsanitary.” \n\n\n\nWhat to expect at Justice 4 All? \n\n\n\nWe are committed to nonviolence\, and we stand peacefully with signs outside the facility. We do not block the entrance\, we do not physically approach ICE agents as they walk to/from the parking lot\, and we do not block traffic on District Ave. \n\n\n\nSigns \n\n\n\nThis is a very targeted action outside the ICE facility\, so it’s not the venue for protesting other causes. Even though we care deeply about other issues\, while outside ICE we must remain focused on immigration.  \n\n\n\nParking and other tips \n\n\n\nFor parking\, please use the Macy’s overflow lot (75 Burlington Mall Road\, follow signs for Macy’s\, see map). For those with mobility challenges\, please keep in mind that the lots closest to ICE — the FAA lot beside ICE and the BAE Systems lot directly across the street from ICE — have both been blocked off. There are restaurants nearby (Clover\, Pressed Cafe\, Chipotle) to get food and use the bathroom. Before arriving\, please consider your own self-preservation (citizenship status) and self-care (sunscreen\, hydration\, etc.). \n\n\n\nIf you would like to receive updates on Justice4All Thursdays and reminders of our events\, please add your email below to join our list. We’re excited to reinforce the work of our friends at Bearing Witness and to support our immigrant neighbors. We hope that you will join us. \n\n\n\nSee you in Burlington! \n\n\n\n~Justice4All Thursdays organizers and the Greater Assabet Indivisible Network

SUMMARY:Bear Witness- Protest and Food Drive Wednesdays at ICE
DESCRIPTION:Cancelled today\, Feb 25 because of snow. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“We invite you to stand in solidarity outside the ICE Enforcement & Removal Operations Office in Burlington every Wednesday from 11am-1pm. We’re grateful to those who have previously joined us at this facility\, and we hope that more will consider attending. Together\, we can show love & support for immigrants\, express our shame at ICE\, and bear witness to the cruel and unconstitutional actions of our government.”Schedule11:00-11:30\, Welcome chat; orientation for new folks; sign-making for those who need them11:30-12:30\, Stand (or sit) with signs12:30-1:00\, Short walk along the sidewalk on District AveThe ICE building in Burlington is the detention and enforcement office for New England. Immigrants must come here for appointments. The standouts are peaceful and offer support for those who must show up here. Signs expressing support for immigrants are welcome. \n\n\n\n\nMore Info & Email Updates\n\n\n\n\nAs far as we know\, the Mall is continuing to restrict parking to mall shoppers only. We continue to invite you to be creative while we work on a solution to this problem. If you scroll down further\, there are some suggested alternative parking possibilities. \n\n\n\nThere was a small group of counter-protesters again at the Saturday vigil\, and we may expect to see counter-protesters more regularly now. The important thing is to not engage with counter-protesters. Please ignore them. We will continue to peacefully exercise our first amendment rights. \n\n\n\nA weather reminder for our gatherings during the winter season — by default\, we will plan to gather\, and ask people to use their own judgment about what conditions are safe for them. Please do be safe. If Burlington schools close due to weather\, we will cancel the usual 11am-1pm public gathering and the organizing team will make some other arrangement to safely maintain the continuity of our vigil for that day that does not require the general public. \n\n\n\nAs usual\, this gathering outside ICE is a very targeted action; it’s not the venue for protesting other causes. We all care about many issues\, but each Wednesday we come together across differences. Regardless of your views on any other political or social issues\, if you support immigrants and their constitutional rights and are committed to nonviolence you are welcome to join us. We have a stash of signs and small U.S. flags that have been donated\, and you’re welcome to bring your own signs and U.S. flags if you have them. \n\n\n\nHere are some parking options that have been suggested\, while we explore a resolution with the mall or other options: \n\n\n\n\nFor those looking to switch to public transportation\, one option is the 350 Bus. This runs from Alewife to Burlington Mall Rd. You can park or bike to the Alewife T stop\, and the bus leaves Alewife at 10:46am and arrives at District Ave. at 11:15am.\n\n\n\nAlternatively\, you can drive to Burlington and park at Simonds Park\, at Rev. Andrew’s United Church of Christ (6 Lexington St. Burlington\, MA)\, or at Rabbi Abramson’s Temple Shalom Emeth\, 16 Lexington St.\,and walk to the 350 bus stop at the intersection of Cambridge St. and Bedford St. That bus leaves at 11:09am and arrives at 11:17am. If you’d like to arrive before 11:00am\, there’s a bus that leaves an hour earlier at 10:09am.\n\n\n\nYou can park at Wegmans. 53 Third Avenue. Burlington\, MA 01803. The Lowell LRTA #14 bus goes by there and stops at Lexington and Mall Rd. That bus is free.\n\n\n\n\nBearing Witness attendees Tina & Jay continue to collect food pantry donations to help local immigrant families. You can drop off unopened food/health/household items by the tree.

SUMMARY:Peoples State of the Union (LiveStream)
DESCRIPTION:At the State of the Union (SOTU)\, Republicans in Congress are once again bending the knee to Trump and hanging their constituents out to dry. Nobody should participate in Trump’s vanity project\, and that’s why Democratic leaders\, MoveOn members\, and everyday Americans most impacted by Trump’s chaos are coming together for the People’s State of the Union. \n\n\n\nPresident Trump has spent the first year of his administration making lives worse for Americans: slashing health care\, sending masked ICE agents to murder our neighbors\, and passing tax cuts for the Epstein class. We cannot give Trump the attention he wants\, or validate his lies to the American people. We cannot treat this SOTU like business as usual. \n\n\n\n\nGet Link\n\n\n\n\nJoin MeidasTouch and MoveOn as we present the People’s State of the Union alongside elected officials\, partners\, allies and directly impacted Americans. \n\n\n\nAdditional Partners:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWin Without WarCenter for Popular DemocracyClimate PowerCommon DefenseEconomic Security Project ActionFamilies Over BillionairesFWD.usFree DCIndivisibleInterfaith AllianceOur RevolutionPeople Power UnitedProtect Our CarePublic CitizenSocial Security WorksVera ActionVoto Latino
