We will march to Waterfront Plaza\, by the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. And we will dump ice into Boston Harbor\, to declare loud and clear: No Kings! No Tariffs! No ICE! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere will be clean ice provided for dumping. Please do not bring your own ice. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor over 250 years\, Bostonians have refused to bow down to tyranny. When King George III forced soldiers into Boston’s streets\, levied unjust taxes on imported tea\, and refused to hear the people’s voices\, the colonial patriots took a stand. On December 16\, 1773\, hundreds of colonists hurled tea into Boston Harbor in protest of King George’s tyranny\, in what some call the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nToday\, a President who behaves like a king occupies the White House. He has sent ICE to harass our city and kidnap our friends\, families\, and neighbors. He has levied unjust tariffs\, and made our tea\, our groceries\, and our lives more expensive. The Ashburnham Democratic Town Committee welcomes our neighbors from surrounding towns to join our residents who support democracy\, the rule of law\, voting rights\, civil rights\, and believes every person should have equal access to opportunities\, autonomy\, and inclusion. This event is a peaceful\, non-confrontational event. Attendees are expected to respect people with opposing viewpoints by not engaging with them. Weapons are not permitted. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRSVP for Updates\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible and coalition partner events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
