We do not block the entrance\, we do not physically approach ICE agents as they walk to/from the parking lot\, and we do not block traffic on District Ave. \n\n\n\nSigns \n\n\n\nThis is a very targeted action outside the ICE facility\, so it’s not the venue for protesting other causes. Even though we care deeply about other issues\, while outside ICE we must remain focused on immigration.  \n\n\n\nParking and other tips \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor those with mobility challenges\, please keep in mind that the lots closest to ICE — the FAA lot beside ICE and the BAE Systems lot directly across the street from ICE — have both been blocked off. Our standout is comprised of a group of seniors who decided to do more than watch the news\, become upset\, anxious\, and feel powerless about what is happening in and to our country. We began a peaceful protest action to register our displeasure! We wanted to demonstrate in a way that empowered us and allowed us to take back some control and voice our concerns. Our motto is “WE MARCHED THEN\, WE MARCH NOW.” Since we range in age from the 70s to 90s\, we try to standout on Fridays from 1pm to 2pm. We standout weather permitting so we would not standout in the rain or snow. We are looking forward to warmer weather. DESCRIPTION:This is a weekly visibility event inviting everyone from the Danvers/Peabody and other Northshore Communities to come together and stand against the injustices of the Trump administration. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday May 2nd we will have a Standout Rally for MayDay\, with an emphasis on Mayday and all that goes with it. We will have speakers\, music\, and a few surprises. Workers Rights! People before profits! Workers Before Billionaires! \n\n\n\nAs always\, feel free to contact us if you’d like to help out in any way. We are always in need of your time and talents in the form of speakers\, musicians or performers of any sort\, as well as volunteers to hand things out and work our Resource Table. And someone’s got to keep those bubble machines going! More details to follow. Please join us for both events to recognize these National Days of Action. DESCRIPTION:Brookline Rally for Democracy \n\n\n\nEvery Saturday at 1:00 PM | Coolidge Corner \n\n\n\nJoin members of three Brookline pro-democracy groups — indivisible Activist Evenings\, Brookline Pax\, and Speak Out\, Seniors! — for our weekly rally at Coolidge Corner. \n\n\n\nWe gather to raise our voices and our signs in defense of democracy\, justice\, and decency — and to stand united against the abuses of the Trump administration and the forces that threaten our rights and freedoms. \n\n\n\nWe stand for: \n\n\n\n• Immigrant rights\, human rights\, and racial justice \n\n\n\n• Free speech\, the Constitution\, and the rule of law \n\n\n\n• Access to health and healthcare for all \n\n\n\n• Protection of our planet and the future we leave to the next generation \n\n\n\nWe choose empathy over cruelty\, peace over violence\, and hope over fear. \n\n\n\nOur rallies are peaceful\, spirited\, and uplifting — a chance to connect\, recharge\, and stand up for what matters. Bring your friends\, your voice\, and your sign (or borrow one of ours!). \n\n\n\nAll are welcome!  The rally is multi-generational and family-friendly; those using walkers or other mobility devices may use them to sit to participate. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nIn the event of inclement weather\, we’ll each use our best judgment about whether to attend.
