SUMMARY:Reverse Tea Party Virtual Food Drive at Lexington Reenactment of Tea Burning
DESCRIPTION: Lexington Alarm! is sponsoring a “Reverse Tea Party” to symbolically “refill the chests” left empty by the Tea Party\, timed to coincide with the Lexington Tea Burning Reenactment.  \n\n\n\nStop by their table in Depot Square or use the links below to donate money directly to these organizations:  \n\n\n\nMinuteman senior services to support their Meals on Wheels programLexington Food PantryFood Link \n\n\n\nOn December 13\, 1773\, three days before the Boston Tea Party\, the Lexington Town Meeting concluded a multi-day debate with a resolution to stop purchasing or drinking imported British tea. The crowd spilled out onto the common behind the meeting house and made a bonfire\, throwing the entire town’s supply of tea into it. \n\n\n\nEach year\, we reenact this occasion with a day of tea history! Join us for fun\, interactive activities to learn more about why tea was so important to the Revolution. Meet with the Lexington residents of 1773 to hear their side of the story\, find out where tea comes from\, and end the day by gathering around the fire and burning the tea! \n\n\n\nStop by for all the festivities: \n\n\n\n\nBuckman Tavern will be open 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM\, with holiday decorations. Admission will be “pay what you can!”\n\n\n\nFrom 12:00 – 3:00 PM\, learn more about the history of tea\, and its alternatives during the Revolution\, with drop-in activities with Lexington History Museums and the Chinese-American Association of Lexington.\n\n\n\nAt 12:00 PM\, join local children’s book author Sabrina Bhattacharjya for a reading and signing of her new book\, The Midnight Writer\, sharing the story of the Battle of Lexington from the perspective of a young girl of the time.\n\n\n\nFrom 12:00 – 1:00\, meet with the Lexington Minute Men and learn more about the town’s role in the coming Revolution as the fire begins to grow in front of the Visitors Center.\n\n\n\nAt 1:00 PM\, join us to burn the tea! We will open with a performance by the William Diamond Jr Fife and Drum Corps\, and will be throwing real tea in the fire\, generously donated by Mark T. Wendell Tea Company of Acton.\n\n\n\nAt 2:00 PM\, warm up in the tavern with a special performance by the Lexington History Museums Singers to go along with your tea and historical hot chocolate!

SUMMARY:Help flip the House.
DESCRIPTION:Hold Republicans accountable in rural and small town America! \n\n\n\n\n\nThe path to a House Majority runs through rural and small town America. \n\n\n\nThe Idea: The Rural House Accountability Project \n\n\n\nHelp Flip the House in the 2026 midterms by highlighting the impact of recent federal policies and budget cuts on rural and small town voters in House districts currently represented by Republicans\, and promoting popular policy alternatives. \n\n\n\nThis can be most effectively done by using hyper-local media to amplify the voices of real people in these communities whose lives and families have been hurt by Republican policies and actions. The specific districts are IA 01\, IA 03\, PA 07\, PA 08\, PA10\, and WI 03. \n\n\n\nHow it works \n\n\n\nThe project has four parts:  \n\n\n\n\nGenerate hyper-localized messaging about the consequences of Federal cuts and policies using voices of trusted local messengers. For example\, in WI 03 a video of a nurse about the danger of losing a local rural ER; in IA 03 a video about the cuts killing broadband funding. \n\n\n\nRecruit and train at least 12 rural creators and storytellers in partnership with RDI organizations on the ground in each district focusing on: parents\, educators\, small business people\, veterans\, farmers\, small-town mayors\, nurses\, and other working people.\n\n\n\nDistribute content across a selection of Real Voices Media’s 500 Facebook and Instagram pages such as Standing Up for the Working Class\, and Our Part of Iowa\, RDI partner organization social feeds\, and peer-to-peer distribution channels\, like church listservs and  neighborhood groups. \n\n\n\nIntegrate relational organizing to close the loops among content creation\, distribution\, and activation. \n\n\n\n\nWho is doing the work? \n\n\n\nThe Rural Democracy Initiative is convening the Rural House Accountability Project.  \n\n\n\nReal Voices Media builds local social media pages\, provides technical and digital media expertise\, and will take the lead in content creation\, training and distribution. \n\n\n\nRDI’s local partners such as Main Street Alliance\, Iowa Farmers Union and PA Stands Up will  identify local voices and integrate these messages into their on-the-ground accountability\, voter education\, and mobilization work. \n\n\n\nWhere does my money go? \n\n\n\nYour donation goes to RDI’s c4 Rural Victory Fund to support its partners including Real Voices Media.  \n\n\n\n\nDonation suggested but not required to get zoom link

SUMMARY:Boston ICE Party
DESCRIPTION:Join the Boston ICE Tea Party! \n\n\n\nWe call upon all patriots to join us on Dec 16th\, 2025\, the 252nd anniversary of the Boston Tea Party\, to retrace the footsteps of this historic protest and declare once more – America has No Kings! \n\n\n\nWe will gather at 7:15 pm at the Irish Famine Memorial Plaza\, across from the Old South Meeting House. We will march to Waterfront Plaza\, by the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. And we will dump ice into Boston Harbor\, to declare loud and clear: No Kings! No Tariffs! No ICE! \n\n\n\nThere will be clean ice provided for dumping. Please do not bring your own ice. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nFor over 250 years\, Bostonians have refused to bow down to tyranny. When King George III forced soldiers into Boston’s streets\, levied unjust taxes on imported tea\, and refused to hear the people’s voices\, the colonial patriots took a stand. On December 16\, 1773\, hundreds of colonists hurled tea into Boston Harbor in protest of King George’s tyranny\, in what some call the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution. \n\n\n\nToday\, a President who behaves like a king occupies the White House. He has sent ICE to harass our city and kidnap our friends\, families\, and neighbors. He has levied unjust tariffs\, and made our tea\, our coffee\, and our lives more expensive. Let us rise once more to take down tyranny! \n\n\n\nA core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

SUMMARY:Witness Wednesdays-Plymouth
DESCRIPTION:Please note there will NOT be a Witness Wednesday on Wednesday the 24th or Wednesday the 31st. We look forward to checking back in during the month of January about the status of these standouts! We anticipate that they will continue through January\, weather permitting. \n\n\n\nThe Massachusetts Constitution guarantees equal protection under all laws to all people\, regardless of nationality\, citizenship\, or immigration status. When due process is denied to any group\, it weakens the rule of law for all of us. The League of Women Voters supports due process for all persons\, including the right to a fair hearing\, the right to counsel\, the right of appeal\, and the right to humane treatment\, and that no person or group should suffer legal discrimination. \n\n\n\nJoin us for Witness Wednesdays starting July 23 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Plymouth County Correctional Facility\, where we will peacefully protest against due process violations and show support for ICE detainees. \n\n\n\nSafety Note \n\n\n\nThis is a heavy traffic intersection. We will follow safety protocols to avoid blocking street traffic. Review LWV peaceful protest guidance HERE. We will only be gathering along the sidewalk and grassy areas outside of the Facility and along the Sheriff’s office. \n\n\n\nLogistics \n\n\n\nSigns: We will have due process rights signs available. You are welcome to bring your own signs focusing on policies and not people. \n\n\n\nMessaging: Due to our nonpartisan nature and to ensure a coordinated effort\, we ask that all signs focus on issues related to supporting or advocating for immigrant communities and focus on due process or immigration policies. Anyone who arrives with a sign focusing on a particular politician\, candidate\, or party may be asked to remove their signage. \n\n\n\nParking is available at the Home Depot parking lot or the shopping plazas off of Long Pond Road in Plymouth. Please do not park at the Sheriff’s office or police station. \n\n\n\nAmenities are available at the Shell Gas Station and Alltown Fresh Gas Station\, both on Long Pond Road. \n\n\n\nResources/Toolkit \n\n\n\nView our Due Process Toolkit HERE. \n\n\n\nOur Plymouth IGSA FAQs resource is available HERE. \n\n\n\nDownload the Witness Wednesdays flyer HERE. \n\n\n\nQuestions? SUMMARY:Team ENOUGH Welcome Session (For Young People Under 26)
DESCRIPTION:Are you a young person between 13 and 25 years old who is interested in taking action around preventing gun violence? Join us for our Team ENOUGH welcome session to learn more about the different ways you can engage. \n\n\n\nTeam ENOUGH is a youth-led program whose mission is to educate young voices about gun violence and mobilize them to take meaningful action against it. Supported by Brady United\, we harness the expertise and experience of today’s youth to advance our intersectional work across the country. \n\n\n\nLed by an Executive Council\, comprised of students just like us\, we believe that diversity is a strength\, and that only when everyone has a seat at the table can we build an effective movement to prevent all gun violence in all communities. \n\n\n\nFor us\, preventing gun violence not only requires regulating access to firearms but also addressing how systemic racism and environmental factors cause this form of bloodshed to run especially rampant in communities of color. You cannot talk about gun violence without talking about police brutality\, white supremacy\, the broken criminal justice system\, poverty\, homophobia\, access to affordable housing\, or the often barriers separating disadvantaged populations from physical and mental healthcare. \n\n\n\n\nGet Zoom Link\n\n\n\n\nSo if you share this belief\, join us for our Team ENOUGH welcome session and become part of the movement to end gun violence in our lifetime.
