Through years of interpretation\, grassroots organizing\, and community care\, they have worked closely with Haitian families facing uncertainty and helped them understand shifting immigration policies. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt this meeting\, they will provide an urgent\, accessible overview of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians\, including the latest federal court decision and its real-world implications for families living\, working\, and building lives in the U.S. They will address impacts on work authorization\, family stability\, and long-term security\, and share practical\, up-to-date community resources to help attendees respond\, prepare\, and support one another. DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, December 3\, at 6:30pm\, Indivisible is holding a public meeting at First Parish UU of Fitchburg (923 Main Street). \n\n\n\nThis meeting will be a potluck social gathering. Folks can bring any kind of food/dish to share. This isn’t required! Please bring something if you can – if you are unable to\, we still want you there! We’ll bring the water 🙂 \n\n\n\nThere will be a guest speaker who will make a short presentation\, a couple of stations for actions you can take\, and plenty of time for sharing and discussion. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nThere is no parking at the church\, but plenty of parking is available at the post office\, along Main Street\, and at Workers Credit Union. SUMMARY:READINESS\, RESILIENCE\, AND RESISTANCE: A Workshop For What Lies Ahead
DESCRIPTION:In response to the U.S. becoming increasingly autocratic\, this two-hour workshop by the Boston Trainers Collective (BTC) provides a framework for building readiness and resilience as a foundation for long-term resistance\, personal and collective care\, and preparedness for other challenges that may lie ahead such as climate-related crises\, social unrest\, and economic volatility. Participants will leave with concrete steps that can be taken immediately to start building readiness and resilience as individuals\, organizations\, and communities. A one-hour de-escalation training will be paired with this workshop. \n\n\n\nResilience is the ability to adapt\, bounce back\, and grow from stress\, adversity\, and trauma. It involves developing skills\, behaviors\, and mindsets like healthy habits\, strong social connections\, and problem-solving. These elements allow individuals and communities to cope with challenges\, manage mental health\, and even use difficult experiences for personal growth. \n\n\n\nOur trainers will teach us about how to prepare ourselves\, emotionally and physically\, for the trump regime and what they are unleashing on our country. \n\n\n\nWe will also learn about de-escalation. Many of you have experienced an issue with an agitator during your demonstrations; we want to help you navigate those. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for updates\n\n\n\n\nDoors open at 9am.
