DESCRIPTION:Did you miss the musical SUFFS when it was in Boston this past spring? Did you see it\, want to see it again\, and discuss it with others? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA recording of the Original Broadway cast is streaming on PBS. We will watch the first Act together\, then talk about what we just saw. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSuffs is a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical that chronicles the American women’s suffrage movement. The show follows the trailblazing activists — referred to as “suffs”—who fought tirelessly for the right to vote\, ultimately leading to the passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for this social event that you will no doubt find has parallels to today’s activism.
