A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
Do you and your group want to take action for racial and economic justice with passion and accountability to local BIPOC leadership? This gathering at Copley Square on Wednesday, September 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM will help you get grounded and take meaningful steps forward.
Showing Up for Racial Justice Boston focuses on organizing white people, and this space is open to everyone. Here’s what we’ll be doing together:
Making sense of this political moment — what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what we can do about it Hearing SURJ’s long-term vision and strategy through 2028 and learning about how SURJ Boston works Getting plugged into next steps with SURJ Boston and SURJ National — including national electoral campaigns, local organizing, and resistance circles Building connection and commitment to fighting white supremacy in community with others
It’ll be a space for reflection, connection, and action — with good food and good people. Sign up to attend HERE.
Join fellow Indivisibles at the State Democratic Convention on September 13. If you were selected to be a delegate or plan to attend as a guest, please let us know by filling out this FORM. As we did in past years, we’ll have an exhibit table with information about IMC and local Indivisible groups, and Indivisible T-shirts to wear as a unified front at the convention.
Important news for delegates: Here is the MassDems draft platform being voted on by delegates at the convention. Many members of progressive groups across the state feel the proposed platform marks a significant retreat from past progressive policy, as explained in this press release. As a result, there is a campaign among Dems to keep the 2021 platform, which you can learn about and help with HERE. There is also a proposal being voted on to eliminate the requirement to hold a MassDems convention each year, instead switching to only holding them in the years in which we need to nominate and endorse statewide candidates (even-numbered years).
Join the next IMC statewide call to get the latest updates on priority MA legislation at the State House on Wednesday, September 10, from 6:15 to 7:15 PM.
The call will feature guest speakers from allies including the ACLU-MA, Common Cause-MA, MIRA Coalition, Act On Mass, CARE Coalition, Progressive Mass, and a retired general and former adjutant deputy general of the MA National Guard. Participate in Q&A! RSVP HERE!
Join us to learn more about the vision, urgency, and strategy behind this national day of action. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned organizer, the time to act is now!
And if you’ve already made plans for your October 18 event, you can register it on Mobilize HERE.
