As you may know, on July 31 the district court ordered that the termination of TPS for Honduras, Nepal, and Nicaragua may not take effect until at least November 18 (with the possibility of further extension).
The U.S. government is now appealing this decision. They are seeking an emergency order from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to allow TPS terminations to take effect as originally scheduled:
The appeals court will hold a hearing on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. PT, which will be livestreamed for public viewing. The Ninth Circuit could issue its decision as early as next week, and we will share updates as soon as we have more information.

The impact of ICE in our community is immense. They’re trying to take not just our community members, but our joy, our cultural celebrations, and the spaces for our voices. But, Worcester won’t let them without a fight! This is a follow up event to ICE Scream at Worcester City Hall and will include a readout of our impact statements and a collective scream outside the ICE facility in Burlington, MA.

Join us early on Labor Day to honor all the workers of this country— including those working hard without benefit of citizenship— and support labor unions all across the USA! The billionaires of today—with encouragement and support of the current administration in DC— want to exploit workers, bust up unions and energetically, sometimes illegally or violently, discourage new unions from forming. Labor Unions brought us the 40-hour work week & overtime pay for starters. More important, they’ve demonstrated the power we have when we work together to pressure those in control. Let’s keep that spirit alive and make it work for us all!
