It’s time to take a stand against the bigots and billionaires! It’s time for us to defend our democracy – by signing up new Democrats! Please join our voter drive!
Every Democrat we register breathes new life into our dreams for a better world. And all it takes is talking to people and filling out a short form.
No experience necessary. We’ll start with an inspiring 15-minute training and deploy to a high-traffic area nearby. We’ll have clipboards, forms, pens, and stickers! Just bring a little water, sunscreen, some comfortable shoes, and maybe a hat.
NOTE: If possible, wear a liberal-looking t-shirt, hat, or pin! It really helps.
Bring a friend! Can’t wait to see you there!

The voting rights our parents and grandparents marched and fought for are being dismantled — right now, state by state. On May 16, thousands are converging on Montgomery, Alabama for the National Day of Action for Voting Rights. Let’s show up in solidarity with our southern siblings.
Please join True North Boston, Activist Evenings Brookline and APIs CAN this Saturday at The Embrace on Boston Common at 1:00 PM. Bring signs. Bring friends. This is last-minute — so share this everywhere, right now. Every person that shows up sends a message.
Same fight. New generation. Unfinished business. 🔗 Learn more about the national action: Black Power | War Room

Dan Osborne is running as an independent for this Likely Republican seat. He had a strong showing in the last cycle, only losing by 6 points. The Democratic primary winner, Cindy Burbank, has promised to withdraw from the general election. Indeed, she only ran because Republicans tried to field their own stealth candidate in the Democratic primary. The Nebraska state Democratic party has endorsed Dan Osborn.
Osborn is well positioned to run against the millionaire incumbent, Pete Ricketts. He is a Navy man, a Nebraska National Guardsman, an industrial mechanic, a union leader, a husband, and a father. Pete Ricketts was appointed to the Senate, and his net worth is estimated at 206 million dollars, stemming from his family’s founding of Ameritrade.
US Representative Christ Pappas is running for the open Senate seat in New Hampshire. Their primary is not until September 8, but with his statewide recognition, and organization skills, he will likely prevail over his unknown Democratic opponent, Karishma Manzur. The Republican primary is dominated by Scott Brown and John Sununu. Sununu is the son of former Gov. John H. Sununu (R) and the brother of Gov. Chris Sununu (R) and will be a formidable opponent.
Our neighboring state is easy to canvass – consider volunteering for primary get out the vote initiatives. Cook Political has rated this race “Lean D” but we must hold this Democratic seat in our quest for the majority.
NPR describes the importance of this primary win: “The second district, which includes the Omaha area, is known as the “blue dot” because it was the lone Nebraska district to vote for Kamala Harris in 2024 and Joe Biden in 2020. It is currently represented by Republican Don Bacon, who is retiring. Democrats see the seat as a prime pickup opportunity.
Denise Powell is a strong candidate, focused on reigning in Trump regime attacks on farmers, healthcare, the rule of law, and more. She knocked on over 10,000 doors to bring her message to Nebraskans: She will fight for people, not billionaires or corporations.
She is running in an open seat in one of just three Republican-held seats won by Kamala Harris in ‘24. The district is among the most evenly divided in the nation with a slim D+0.8 margin. Denise, a Latina, is a former corporate executive, small-business owner, health-care advocate, and public-school supporter. Cook Political rates this seat at Lean D.
Denise is endorsed by Force Multiplier, Activate America, and Swing Left.
In our collective fight against authoritarianism, exhaustion, burnout, and overwhelm are common experiences. And- we know achieving lasting change requires a lifelong commitment. This is a call for white people in particular to discuss the rhetoric of giving up, to talk about our particular responsibility to build strategies to sustain and stay in this work, and to connect with movement leaders of color who have been in this fight for decades.
Join SURJ in conversation with political strategist Scot Nakagawa and movement leader Ash-Lee Woodard-Henderson to get grounded and inspired for the necessary work white people must do to commit to fighting authoritarianism.
If you register, you’ll receive a recording of the call via email.
