At this unimaginable time in our nation’s history, it is imperative we stay informed, engaged, and aligned. We see what is happening in Minneapolis and now Maine, and wonder what may happen in our own communities.
Worcester County Indivisible Alliance (WCIA) is proud to announce a presentation by the Executive Director of Worcester’s Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Center (RIAC), Meg Gallo. Meg will discuss immigration in general, and how the recent changes to our nation’s immigration policies will affect vulnerable communities around the globe, and America as a whole.
In order to support the most vulnerable among us, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item for our local food pantry, or a financial donation to Worcester County Food Bank, which provides food assistance to the most vulnerable throughout Worcester County.
Come learn the truth on February 21st while supporting our communities. Come meet our welcoming WCIA members, ask questions to our expert presenter, and sign our letters to our political leaders about the brutality we are all witnessing.
This isn’t America, but Americans can make a difference.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
Join us on Zoom at 6pm ET/5pm CT every week as we gather to drive change through digital organizing. Our texting campaigns will give you the opportunity to engage residents across the U.S. while empowering them to make a positive impact in their communities. Last year, we sent over 19 million texts educating residents on local elections, environmental justice, police reform, health care, and so much more! During the event we will provide training, discuss our latest texting campaign, and we will take action.

We are currently hosting Workshops in our area to teach and create as many origami cranes as possible.
We will deliver all cranes to the detention center in Burlington on Presidents Day, February 16, in the form of garlands to hang on trees and fences, or simply to lay on the ground.
This evening at BitBar we will form an assembly line to make origami cranes. Don’t worry if you don’t have any experience, we will show you what to do ! We feel this is the best and quickest way to make a laa4ge number of cranes. Come join the fun!
We plan to gather to create the garlands from Feb 2 – 15. Contact us by email here if you’d like to help at salemscall@yahoo.com

As our Origami Workshops come to a close, we are gathering to assemble our cranes into garlands to bring to the ICE Detention Center nearest us on President’s Day, February 16th. Help is needed to assemble the garlands. This is an easy process but we do need volunteers.

An election year is always fraught on Beacon Hill, but in 2026, the stakes couldn’t be higher. How will the Legislature respond to federal budget cuts and other policies that are highly problematic for the Commonwealth? Mounting economic and political pressures and an election cycle packed with high-profile races and ballot questions will give House Speaker Ron Mariano and Senate President Karen Spilka plenty to discuss at a timely fireside chat with MASSterList columnist Jon Keller.
Can you attend to press them to pass the bills about ICE QUICKLY. (Days not weeks). Gov. Healey’s Bill. The Protect Act. The Safe Communities Act. Dignity Not Deportation Act.
IMPORTANT: Due to the snowstorm and loss of sidewalk access, WE HAVE CHANGED THE LOCATION for February 7 and 21. Our RESOLVE has not changed, however! Bring your energy, your voice, and a sign that speaks your truth as you stand with other democracy defenders to show that hate and fear have no home in our city and country! Extra signs are available. This is a peaceful, family-oriented gathering. All are welcome!

Masked federal agents are terrorizing our communities. They’re teargassing babies, kidnapping our neighbors, shooting clergy in the face with chemical projectiles, and killing innocent people.
But right now, we have an opportunity to rein in ICE at the federal level. ICE and Border Patrol are part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS funding expires at midnight on Friday, Jan. 30. Congress is currently negotiating how to fund DHS moving forward. Democrats met our first demand that DHS cannot be funded business as usual, and now we need Republicans to join them in finding the political will to meet this moment. This is our opportunity to put significant restrictions on ICE and ensure it doesn’t get a single penny more to enable its brutality.
Join us on Tuesday, February 3, at 3 p.m. EST to call voters in key states and encourage them to call their Republican senators to demand that they rein in ICE’s terror tactics.
On 1/24/26, federal agents horrifically shot and killed 37-year-old Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who cared for veterans, in the Eat Street neighborhood of south Minneapolis after brutally beating him in front of witnesses.
Enough is enough. Exercising our Constitutional right to document and record ICE and other federal agents is more important than ever. This call will give you the tools to exercise your rights in a moment when federal agents are terrorizing our communities and using excessive force.
Join our call, Eyes on Ice: Document and Record on Thursday, February 5th, 2026 at 8:00 pm ET. RSVP for Link.
We will cover the latest updates on ICE and CBP’s out-of-control and dangerous operations. We will talk through rights when documenting and recording law enforcement encounters, and how you can continue to take action.
RSVP NOW.

We demand that the Governor and Legislature TAKE FAST ACTION to protect us from ICE abuses. We don’t have time for them to “discuss for several weeks”!
This Saturday, a broad coalition of Boston-area organizations is gathering on Boston Common to demand that Massachusetts end all cooperation with ICE. ICE terrorizes our communities.
Our state does not have to help them.
Join Mass 50501, UU Mass Action, Indivisible Mass Coalition, PSL, MEJA, and many more as we come together to:
Demand the Governor and State House cut ties with ICE
Protect immigrant and at-risk communities
Build collective, nonviolent resistance
Bring your signs. Bring your voice. Bring your people.
This is a nonviolent rally—loud, united, and unapologetic.
