The good troublemakers of Southeastern Mass will be meeting in Hanover to host a postcard party on first Friday February. There is no better way to spend your Fridays than having great conversation with like-minded friends, socializing, eating good food, and effecting positive change in the world.
On January 7th, an American citizen was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.
A broad coalition of groups across the country called for a coordinated Ice Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.

Protests, rallies, and marches are important tactics to fight back against the Trump Administration. Volunteer peacekeepers help ensure the intended message is delivered by keeping the event safe. Peacekeepers may direct traffic, de-escalate conflict if there are counter protesters, and support the success of the action. There is a significant need for more peacekeepers. There are a range of roles for volunteers who complete the training.
Join this virtual one hour training by experienced peacekeeper Elaine Almquist. The training will cover:
Commitment to non-violence, the purpose of peacekeeping, planning for safety, peacekeeping positioning, how peacekeeping differs from other roles, de-escalation, and debriefing.
This Community Defense Training is for anyone who wants to learn how to create a Massachusetts that affirms the dignity of all its members, and especially our immigrant community members. Learn your rights, and how to stand up against ICE in our communities now. Learn about:
The state of ICE in MA, Preparing our Community for Safety, Knowing Your Rights, What to do if you See ICE, Supporting our Immigrant Community Members, Front-line organizations
Masked federal agents are terrorizing our communities. They’re teargassing babies, kidnapping our neighbors, shooting clergy in the face with chemical projectiles, and killing innocent people.
But right now, we have an opportunity to rein in ICE at the federal level. ICE and Border Patrol are part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which is currently funded only through January 30. The new funding bill that’s currently being written is our opportunity to put significant restrictions on ICE and ensure it doesn’t get a single penny more to enable its brutality.
Join us on Wednesday, January 21st, at 1 p.m. EST to call voters in key states and encourage them to call their senators to demand that they rein in ICE’s terror tactics.

One year into Trump’s second regime, we face an escalating fascist threat: raids on our communities, troops occupying our cities, attacks on immigrants, families torn apart, mass surveillance, and terror used to keep us silent. But we won’t be silenced.
It is time for our communities to escalate as well. This walkout is a protest and a promise. In the face of fascism, we will be ungovernable.
Join us on January 20th for the Free America Walkout as we demonstrate that we are turning our backs on fascism. Bring your friends. Bring your protest signs. Bring your energy and your commitment to the U.S. Constitution and our democracy.
★ We walk away from fascism. ★
★ We walk towards a Free America. ★
★ We fight for a future that belongs to us all. ★
★ Everybody in, nobody out. ★

This a local Indivisible event!
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
Join us as we come together to learn to create the origami bird, the crane. Long considered a symbol of peace and hope, we plan to deliver them to the nearest ICE detention center on President’s Day, February 16, 2026.
It won’t matter if there is one bird or an entire flock—the symbolism is the same: In these times of chaos and lack of empathy, where hatred is made acceptable, we will stand together for peace. We will stand for the love of one another. We will recognize the inherent worth of all of us, no matter from where we come. We will reaffirm that all people deserve to be treated with respect, justice, equity and compassion.
We welcome you to join us.

One year after Trump’s return to power, let’s gather to bear witness to all the unnecessary suffering his regime has caused in the last year and to affirm our determination to turn the tide in this country. Bring your signs and flags and candles or flashlights. We’ll have battery operated candles that can be borrowed.
