Mary Peltola for US Senate (AK)

Primary is August 18th. Mary is running for Senate because she’s lived firsthand how government is failing Alaskans.

It’s time for a new approach. Systemic change is the only way to bring down grocery costs, save our fisheries, lower energy prices, and build new housing Alaskans can afford. Systemic change is the only way to fill our homes with abundance again.

The fight for Fish, Family, Freedom depends on fixing the rigged system in DC. Will you become a founding donor today? We can’t do it without your help.

racial justice: peaceful presence needed in brockton court

January 30 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm EST

This is an urgent call for community presence. We are sharing from our friends at the NAACP Cape Cod Branch.

“We are asking those who are able to attend the upcoming bail hearing regarding Alex Greene to stand in quiet, respectful support of the District Attorney’s position to have him returned to custody until his hearing.”

This murder happened in Hyannis, but this appeal has been moved out of district, as mentioned below. We are unsure if any leadership from our group can attend, but we know there will be a representative from the NAACP Cape Cod branch in attendance.

This case involves the most serious level of alleged violence and the loss of a life. Moments like this matter. Courtrooms do not exist in isolation — they serve the community — and it is important that the Court sees that the community is present, attentive, and deeply concerned about safety, accountability, and the integrity of the justice process.

Your presence helps demonstrate that this decision carries real impact beyond the courtroom walls.

This is a show of responsible, dignified community support for due process and public safety.

Canceled Jan 30: De-ICE Hanscom Friday Standouts

January 30 @ 1:30 pm 2:30 pm EST

Canceled Jan. 30. New, shorter winter timeframe! This weekly afternoon standout is on Fridays from 1:30 to 2:30 at the Hanscom Rotary (intersection of Hanscom Dr. and Old Bedford Rd. in Lincoln, MA.) Please park along Old Bedford Road or Hanscom Drive without impeding traffic or blocking bike lanes.

De-ICE Hanscom is a coalition organizing peaceful standouts with the goal of eliminating ICE transport flights from Hanscom Field. ICE is using these flights to swiftly move immigrants out of New England in order to hinder effective legal representation.

Coalition groups include Boston Workers Circle, Concord Indivisible, Greater Assabet Indivisible Network (GAIN), Indivisible Acton Area, Jewish Alliance for Law & Social Action (JALSA), Lexington Alarm, and Maynard Indivisible.

Sign up to get information and updates about our weekly standouts. We’ll keep you in the loop if we need to reschedule or cancel for weather or other considerations, and apprise you of our goals and progress.

Bear Witness- Protest and Food Drive Wednesdays at ICE

January 28 @ 11:00 am 1:00 pm EST

No standout in Burlington this Wednesday) Cancelled*
Tomorrow’s standout (1/28/26) and special Veterans visit to Bearing Witness is CANCELLED due to snow conditions. A small group of regulars will stand out for continuity.

“We invite you to stand in solidarity outside the ICE Enforcement & Removal Operations Office in Burlington every Wednesday from 11am-1pm. We’re grateful to those who have previously joined us at this facility, and we hope that more will consider attending. Together, we can show love & support for immigrants, express our shame at ICE, and bear witness to the cruel and unconstitutional actions of our government.”

Schedule
11:00-11:30, Welcome chat; orientation for new folks; sign-making for those who need them
11:30-12:30, Stand (or sit) with signs
12:30-1:00, Short walk along the sidewalk on District Ave

The ICE building in Burlington is the detention and enforcement office for New England. Immigrants must come here for appointments. The standouts are peaceful and offer support for those who must show up here. Signs expressing support for immigrants are welcome.

As far as we know, the Mall is continuing to restrict parking to mall shoppers only. We continue to invite you to be creative while we work on a solution to this problem. If you scroll down further, there are some suggested alternative parking possibilities.

There was a small group of counter-protesters again at the Saturday vigil, and we may expect to see counter-protesters more regularly now. The important thing is to not engage with counter-protesters. Please ignore them. We will continue to peacefully exercise our first amendment rights.

A weather reminder for our gatherings during the winter season — by default, we will plan to gather, and ask people to use their own judgment about what conditions are safe for them. Please do be safe. If Burlington schools close due to weather, we will cancel the usual 11am-1pm public gathering and the organizing team will make some other arrangement to safely maintain the continuity of our vigil for that day that does not require the general public.

As usual, this gathering outside ICE is a very targeted action; it’s not the venue for protesting other causes. We all care about many issues, but each Wednesday we come together across differences. Regardless of your views on any other political or social issues, if you support immigrants and their constitutional rights and are committed to nonviolence you are welcome to join us. We have a stash of signs and small U.S. flags that have been donated, and you’re welcome to bring your own signs and U.S. flags if you have them.

Here are some parking options that have been suggested, while we explore a resolution with the mall or other options:

  • For those looking to switch to public transportation, one option is the 350 Bus. This runs from Alewife to Burlington Mall Rd. You can park or bike to the Alewife T stop, and the bus leaves Alewife at 10:46am and arrives at District Ave. at 11:15am.
  • Alternatively, you can drive to Burlington and park at Simonds Park, at Rev. Andrew’s United Church of Christ (6 Lexington St. Burlington, MA), or at Rabbi Abramson’s Temple Shalom Emeth, 16 Lexington St.,and walk to the 350 bus stop at the intersection of Cambridge St. and Bedford St. That bus leaves at 11:09am and arrives at 11:17am. If you’d like to arrive before 11:00am, there’s a bus that leaves an hour earlier at 10:09am.
  • You can park at Wegmans. 53 Third Avenue. Burlington, MA 01803. The Lowell LRTA #14 bus goes by there and stops at Lexington and Mall Rd. That bus is free.

Bearing Witness attendees Tina & Jay continue to collect food pantry donations to help local immigrant families. You can drop off unopened food/health/household items by the tree.

Hunker Down and Level Up!

Virtual Event

January 29 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm EST

In the face of increasing authoritarianism, this workshop will provide a framework for cultivating readiness and resilience as foundations for long-term resistance, personal and collective care, and preparedness for other challenges that lie ahead. Participants will leave with concrete steps for building personal, household, community, and organizational resilience and strengthening our movement to build a democracy that works for everyone.

Why Primary Safe Democratic Candidates?

In November, 2025, after Senate Democrats surrendered their advantage in the budget battle, Indivisible launched its largest ever initiative to primary Democrats, especially in safe districts.

The Incumbent Advantage in Massachusetts

Incumbents have a huge advantage in Massachusetts, and one of the reasons is an arcane requirement for each democratic candidate on the primary ballot to win 15% of the Democratic Convention endorsement.  If they don’t, they are not allowed on the ballot.  So about 4,000 people choose who will be on the primary ballot before registered voters can weigh in.  In the past, status quo delegates have outnumbered progressive delegates in Massachusetts.

What will Primarying the Incumbent do?

Even if defeating the incumbent is unlikely, primarying them sends an important message that we are not happy with the job they are doing.  It forces them to talk about, and defend, their record.  It can move their policies in a different direction.

How should I choose a Primary Candidate to Support?

Primary candidates are very accessible.  Read their websites, and ask them questions.  Attend a “meet and greet.”  Evaluate where they get their funding- do they take AIPAC or Corporate money?

JUSTICE FOR ALEX PRETTI RALLY + STANDOUT

January 31 @ 11:00 am 12:00 pm EST

Friday, January 24th, an American citizen, Alex Pretti was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.

Avelo Airlines has become the first commercial airline to contract with ICE for secretive deportation flights—flights with no guarantees of due process or legal counsel. We’re organizing nationwide to make it politically and publicly impossible for them to keep profiting from human rights abuses. Our targets include the airports where Avelo operates, universities that may have ongoing partnerships with Avelo, and states and localities subsidizing them with public dollars. Whether you’re planning a protest, a teach-in, a visibility action, or a meeting with decision-makers, your event is part of a growing movement to force Avelo to cancel its ICE contract and to send a clear message to every other corporation: if you cooperate with deportation, you’ll face consequences.

A core principle behind all events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We expect hosts to ensure all participants in your event uphold this commitment.
