Candlelight Vigil (ICE Killing)

January 8 @ 5:00 pm 6:00 pm EST

Yesterday, Cowardly, Mask-Wearing ICE Agents Killed an Innocent Woman!

We come together tonight to share the sorrow of the family and community who lost their loved one.

We come together to share our inescapable shame, caused by being part of a violent, hate-based government that is brutalizing our country and the entire world.

The lies told by President Piggy and Lee Marvin Cowboy Wanna-Be Kristi Noem to cover up this travesty must be confronted! This killing was an aggressive, controlling act, not an act of defense or internal terrorists.

Tonight we gather at Elm Park for a candlelight vigil from 5 – 6 pm to show our sorrow and our disgust with the actions of our government. We can’t let this abomination pass unmarked

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Progressive Mass Power Lunch

Virtual Event

January 8 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm EST

In response to the murder of Renee Good in Minneapolis tonight, a request was made for people to call their elected officials in addition to standing out, etc. Join a rapid-response phone bank to call MA elected officials and demand they take action to protect our communities from ICE.

This is for experienced folks and newbies – invite a friend who has not yet called their electeds. Are they nervous? They will get help and support and then we will all make calls. Open to anyone statewide –

What comes after calling your state rep and state senator? Getting others to do so as well.

Join Progressive Mass for our “Power Lunch” phone bank series, where we will be building our collective power in service of a better Commonwealth for all.

We’ll be calling voters about contacting their state legislators about key issues.

Rapid Response Call: ICE Killing and Lawlessness in Minneapolis

Virtual Event

January 8 @ 8:00 pm 9:00 pm EST

ICE killed a woman named Renee Nicole Good during an operation in Minneapolis. Based on everything we’ve seen, this appears to be murder — plain and simple.

Violence is nothing new for Trump’s secret police force. But this killing is a tragic escalation in the racist campaign of terror being carried out against communities across our nation. It’s proof of what happens when armed thugs are unleashed into our neighborhoods without oversight or accountability.

And it needs to be a galvanizing moment for every American to join the activists who’ve been fighting this brutality day in and day out for years in saying: ENOUGH.

Tomorrow night (Thursday) at 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 5pm PT, Indivisible and partners are hosting an emergency call to talk through a nationwide response to this killing and ongoing ICE terror in Minneapolis and across the country. Please join us.

Our call will feature concrete actions you can take to address abuses by ICE and demand accountability.

Arresting the agent that pulled the trigger is an essential first step. But let no one be under the illusion that this is an isolated incident. Trump and the ghouls in his cabinet have stoked a culture of violence at ICE that’s manifested in near-daily atrocities. Already, they’re spreading lies about what happened in Minneapolis and lionizing the agents involved — emboldening more brutality, unless we act.

Our response needs to be loud. It needs to be nationwide. It needs to be peaceful. And it needs to address the full rottenness of Trump’s fascist police force and the system that’s allowed it to rampage our country with the budget of a national army.

Join our emergency call to learn how you can get involved.

Brookline Rally for Democracy

Every Saturday at 1:00 PM | Coolidge Corner

Join members of three Brookline pro-democracy groups — indivisible Activist Evenings, Brookline Pax, and Speak Out, Seniors! — for our weekly rally at Coolidge Corner.

We gather to raise our voices and our signs in defense of democracy, justice, and decency — and to stand united against the abuses of the Trump administration and the forces that threaten our rights and freedoms.

We stand for:

• Immigrant rights, human rights, and racial justice

• Free speech, the Constitution, and the rule of law

• Access to health and healthcare for all

• Protection of our planet and the future we leave to the next generation

We choose empathy over cruelty, peace over violence, and hope over fear.

Our rallies are peaceful, spirited, and uplifting — a chance to connect, recharge, and stand up for what matters. Bring your friends, your voice, and your sign (or borrow one of ours!).

All are welcome!  The rally is multi-generational and family-friendly; those using walkers or other mobility devices may use them to sit to participate.

In the event of inclement weather, we’ll each use our best judgment about whether to attend. We hope you’ll do the same!

Please join us, one rally at a time.  We’ll continue for as long as it takes.

Winning in 2026: What are our marching orders?

Virtual Event

January 20 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm EST

Join Greater Andover Indivisible for an in-person panel discussion on what is at stake in the 2026 elections and the steps that we together will take to secure not just wins, but a genuine Blue Wave.

There is no denying that 2025 was hard. Living under the fascist regime that is the Trump “Administration” was a daily assault on our senses–and our morality.

But there were signs of hope by the end of the year. Democrats won big in November’s off-year elections; closed the gap in a Tennessee Republican stronghold; and stopped Trump’s gerrymandering plan in Indiana. As Indivisible co-founder Leah Greenberg wrote: “This is what it looks like when a would-be dictator tries to bully his way into power—and fails. It’s a sign that rule-by-fear is breaking down. It’s a flashing warning light that the wheels are coming off the fascism bus.”

Now, as we turn the page to 2026, we need to slash the tires on said bus. In other words, we need to deliver massive Democratic wins in the November midterm elections. Why? Because it is only by securing a Blue Wave that we can effectively counter the last two years of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Join us for a panel discussion on what is at stake in the 2026 elections and the steps that we will take to secure not just wins, but a genuine Blue Wave. We’ll also look at the ramifications of a Blue Wave–and the consequences of falling short. Most importantly, we will discuss what we, as activists, can do to ensure victory not just in Massachusetts, but nationwide.
