Signs of Fascism “Burma Shave” Visibility Event

Signs of Fascism is a unique visibility event where specific examples on signs “Burma Shave-style” can help get through to people what’s being lost. For example “Ignoring Due Process”, “Controlling Media”. Indivisible in Melrose Wakefield and Beyond has a set of 24 different signs – come hold one with us! Wear a warm coat (ideally black), park on an area sidestreet and join us holding signs on Lynn Fells Pkwy between Milano Dr and McLean Rd, light snow or drizzle. Bridging Cultures with Food and Friendship: A Night of International Cuisine

Join us on Thursday, January 22 at First Church in Ipswich for a night of international Cuisine in this event designed to bring Ipswich together. We will share food and stories as we celebrate the different backgrounds, ethnicities and nationalities that make up Ipswich. It will be a night to meet your neighbors as well as learn about the work of Ipswich Refugee Program.

Tickets are $25 per person but we are encouraging individuals and businesses to be partners with us in this program through a Community Partner Sponsorship which is $250 and includes 4 tickets to the event.

Community Over Chaos: MLK Weekend Kickoff 2026

You’re invited to the ACLU of Massachusetts’ unity gathering to kick off Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend!

We’ll hear from community leaders and racial justice advocates as we honor Dr. King’s living legacy – and draw energy and inspiration for the fight ahead. We will gather at the Parkman Bandstand on the Boston Common, where Dr. King once spoke to spread his message of peace, unity, and racial justice. The event will be emceed by Java with Jimmy radio host James Hills.
