Boycott T-Mobile (Trump Mobile)

It’s time to hang up on authoritarianism.
It’s time to hang up on T-Mobile.

WHY BOYCOTT T-MOBILE?

In Bed with Trump: Trump launched “Trump Mobile” on the T-Mobile network.
In July, Trump launched his own phone company: Trump Mobile. Despite glaring conflicts of interest, Trump Mobile is being hosted on the T-Mobile network, raising corruption concerns.

Lining Elon Musk’s pockets: T-Mobile is partnering with Elon Musk’s Starlink, funneling billions of dollars into the pockets of the world’s most famous and destructive far-right billionaire.

Undermining America: T-Mobile lobbied in favor of Trump’s disastrous budget bill. The bill is expected to strip millions of Americans of healthcare and basic social services, while cutting the taxes of the 1%.

Abandoning DEI: T-Mobile ended its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs. Why? To appease the Trump regime as it sought approval for two major acquisitions.

Union Busting: T-Mobile has spent years engaging in vicious and illegal union busting tactics to prevent workers from unionizing.

As Trump sends the military into our cities and disappears people off the streets, T-Mobile’s support of Trump is unacceptable.

We want to know exactly how many people have canceled their contracts so that we can track our impact.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I cancel my service/contract with T-mobile?

Before you cancel with T-Mobile, set up a new cell phone carrier to ensure that your service will not be interrupted. Do not cancel with T-Mobile until you have already set up a new service with another carrier, otherwise you may lose your number.

Your new phone carrier will walk you through the steps required to switch carriers. You may have to call T-Mobile to ask for a “port out pin”, or you may be able to find this on the T-Mobile app or website.

In most cases you will be able to keep your phone number if you wish. Many carriers have special discounts for customers who are switching from another provider. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan you will be charged for your remaining balance.

WHO SHOULD I MOVE TO?

We don’t recommend specific alternatives, but when choosing a new cell phone carrier, you should be aware that these are the options you can pick to maintain the boycott.

These carriers DO NOT use the T-Mobile Network: AT&T (union represented carrier), Verizon Wireless, Consumer Cellular, Visible, Straight Talk Wireless, Xfinity Mobile, MobileX, FreeUP, Good2Go, H2O, PureTalk, Red Pocket (select the GSMA or CDMA option, avoid the GSMT option) Boost Mobile (make sure to ask for the Dish Network/AT&T option)

These options lease bandwidth from all three major carriers. You will be using some T-Mobile capacity, but they are better than a T-Mobile contract or T-Mobile MVNO carrier: Freedom Pop, US Mobile, TracFone, Wing

These are the carriers that use T-Mobile’s network: Trump Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Mint Mobile, CREDO, Google Fi, Tello, US Mobile, Ultra Mobile, Boost Mobile, and Red Pocket.

Should I let T-Mobile know why I am canceling?

Yes – absolutely! Once you have set up your new service, call T-Mobile to cancel and to let them know why you are canceling by dialing 611 from your T-Mobile phone or calling 1-800-937-8997. You can also visit a T-Mobile store.

You should say that due to T-Mobile siding with the Trump administration and far-right extremists like Elon Musk, you’ve decided to end your service. Remember to be polite to the T-Mobile representative you are speaking with throughout your call.

Will T-Mobile try to convince me to not end my contract?

The T-Mobile representative may offer an incentive for you to keep your service with them. Remain firm and express that you have made your decision. Explain that because T-Mobile has also made its decision by siding with the Trump administration and further enriching billionaires who attack democracy you are committed to ending your service and no longer wish to remain a T-Mobile customer.

You should confirm with the representative that your reason for canceling is recorded. Furthermore, since customer service calls are often recorded for “quality assurance,” providing your reason for canceling is very important.

Will canceling my T-mobile service make a difference?

Yes! By joining this campaign you will be one of the many leaders from across the country who, since the beginning of this year, have been demonstrating widespread opposition to Trump’s authoritarianism and Musk’s political activity.

Showing corporate executives and investors that caving to far right extremism is bad for business will create a powerful disincentive against working with Musk’s companies and enabling Trump’s extremism.

AREN’T ALL THE BIG PHONE COMPANIES BAD?

Yes, but T-Mobile is the only one that is hosting Trump Mobile on its network, and it’s the only one that is partnering with Elon Musk’s Starlink.

My phone is locked. Can I keep my number and join the boycott?

Yes, but you will have to call T-Mobile and ask them to unlock your phone first. Most phones are not locked (meaning it is tied to a single carrier’s network), however, if your phone is locked, call T-Mobile and ask them to unlock it.

I have a family plan. Can I still join the boycott?

Yes, but you will need to coordinate switching with all of your family members on the plan and, if possible, the primary account holder should be the one to arrange the switching and call T-Mobile to cancel.

Boycott Home Depot (more like Home Deport)

WE HAVE FRIENDS EVERYWHERE

Home Depot should be a place where everyone can buy what they need to make their homes safe, secure and beautiful. Instead, it has become a place of fear – a target for ICE operations against immigrant communities and workers.

“If there’s a company most caught up in the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, it’s Home Depot.” Yet the company has remained silent while raids continue to unfold on its lots.

That silence speaks volumes.

Home Depot cannot claim to serve our communities while allowing federal agents to terrorize people on their property. It’s ALL OF US or NONE OF US!

We are calling on Home Depot to take a stand:

  • Denounce ICE raids on their properties.
  • Declare their stores safe spaces.
  • Protect the people who make and shop in their stores everyday.

Until then, we will use the power we know best and that corporations listen to – our collective wallets.

Courage Collectives from One Million Rising

Courage is contagious.

And it’s more necessary than ever as we navigate this period of authoritarian breakthrough. Trump and his administration are rapidly consolidating authoritarian power and eroding the norms and institutions that serve as a check on that power.

It’s not too late to stop this takeover, but we must act now to build a society-wide backlash.

That’s where Courage Collectives come in.

Courage Collectives are groups that are organizing the various pillars of support into noncooperation with the Trump administration.

The members of each collective all share an identity within a specific pillar, and use their identity to influence the institutions and people within their pillar to stand up to Trump and refuse to go along with his power grab.

Indivisible Mass Coalition Training

Courage Collectives are folks who wish to organize within various pillars to leverage their experience in order to erode support for the Trump regime. IMC is in a unique position to connect members across the state to others who would like to work with them.

If pillars-based activism sounds like what you’ve been looking for, please fill out this form, so IMC can connect you to others who’d like to work with you!

And don’t forget to join the IMC Slack workspace to reach others who are looking to collaborate! Look for the #courage-collectives channel.
If you missed the IMC Courage Collective trainings, an edited recording of one of the trainings is HERE, and the slide deck is HERE. You might also find this D-I-Y Training Manual helpful, as its content and worksheets are based on the information in the training sessions.

Canopies of Compassion

December 1, 2025 @ 9:00 am 12:00 pm EST

Join us to support Essau, as he reports to the ICE Field Office in Burlington.  Essau is an immigrant from Tanzania and a member of the Zen Center North Shore who has lived in Massachusetts for more than a decade.

We will gather on Monday, Dec. 1st from 9am – 12pm:

9am: Canopy Raising, Rally and Prayer Circle

10am: Essau’s Appointment Time

10am-12pm:  Waiting & Witness March

If you would like to participate in the canopy raising, please gather by 8:45am.

Clergy:  Please wear clergy attire and gather at 8:45am.

Canopies of Compassion Campaign Description:  As our nation erupts in anger and grief over the ruthless and violent arrests and deportations of immigrants, our faith traditions teach us to love our neighbors and care for those who are vulnerable and in need.  In the Jewish and Christian scriptures, Abraham and Sarah built their home in a tent that was open on all sides – a canopy that was a sign of welcome and hospitality for all people.  The Essex County Community Organization (ECCO), along with other faith and justice organizations, has launched the multifaith Canopies of Compassion Campaign in support of immigrant rights.  We urge all Massachusetts officials, elected and appointed, to make the Commonwealth a true canopy of safety and protection for all residents.

Parking:  Ample parking is available behind the Macy’s at Burlington Mall (75 Burlington Mall Road, Burlington)
