Attend a Virtual Massport Board Meeting Thursday, Nov. 20, 9:00 AM
At the next Massport board meeting, members of the community will speak about ICE flights at Hanscom during the “public comment” time. Simply log on to the board meeting to show your support, as speakers have already been lined up. To request a link to the meeting, email Massport at: remoteaccess@massport.com
This Lexington Observer article describes how a local activist used a public records request to obtain some information about these flights and efforts by local officials to get more information from Massport about the flights.
Let’s build on the big blue wave we generated in last week’s elections and take the next step in flipping the House and taking back our government!
A Republican in TN resigned, leaving his House seat open and we’ve got a great opportunity to flip this seat blue in this December’s special election!
Join us in calling Democratic voters in TN, to make sure they know about this election and their excellent candidate (a former Indivisible organizer), Aftyn Behn. There’ll be a full training to begin and lots of support throughout – all are welcome and needed!
The Legislature has scheduled a hearing for the Safe Communities Act on Tuesday, November 25 in Gardner Auditorium at the State House. Even if you’re unable to attend the hearing, there are actions you can take now to urge our state legislators to pass important bills to protect immigrants. Last month, ICE detained nearly 1,500 people in Massachusetts, including longtime residents, workers, taxpayers, parents, and neighbors who contribute deeply to our communities – tell your legislators they need to act!
The Legislature has scheduled a hearing on the Safe Communities Act for Tuesday, November 25 in Gardner Auditorium at the State House. While you can watch the hearing (and even submit testimony) online, we hope you can join us to attend the hearing in person to show support for this bill that is urgently needed to protect immigrant rights and public safety.
The hearing begins at 11:30am and you’re welcome to meet us at the State House, but we are also trying to organize carpools that will leave from Lexington and/or Arlington around 10am and arrive back mid-afternoon. Use the form below to let us know if you hope to attend the hearing, and if you’re willing to drive or need a ride, please indicate that below by Saturday, Nov. 22.

Senate Republicans rammed through their Medicaid and SNAP slashing reconciliation bill with life threatening cuts. We’re seeing increased costs of healthcare, groceries, Insurance premiums, childcare and more.
Raise your voice to let our Members of Congress know that this is unacceptable. Join this event to end the outrageous giveaways by this administration at the cost of working families, low-income folks, seniors and veterans. Slashing Medicaid and SNAP to fund billionaire tax breaks is unacceptable.
