Boston ICE Party

November 16, 2025 @ 7:00 pm 7:30 pm EST

On the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party (December 16, 1773), we will be meeting on the Congress Street Bridge near the Boston Tea Party Museum to dump ice cubes into the Fort Point Channel in bulk. You can either buy bags of ice or make your own at home and bring them with you in a container. The goal is make as big of a splash as possible with the most easily accessible ingredients that everyone can bring. We will be protesting the actions of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) by dumping ice cubes into the same harbor that tea was dumped over 250 years ago. This will be a peaceful act of non-violence.

This will be a mostly symbolic event. As such, the more people who participate the better so share this link with as many people as possible (ideally 342 to represent the original crates of tea but we might not get that many signups). Ice cubes can be easily found and made at home so there’s no excuse not to bring any (if you want to participate then you will have to bring more than one tray of ice cubes from your freezer). Everyone should have a container of some kind at home that they can bring: igloo coolers, small trash cans, Gatorade buckets, plastic grocery bags, etc. Again, we want to make a big splash so there’s more people who participate the better. If you want to get creative and freeze food dye or overpriced tea/juice from the grocery store then that’s fine but just make sure that it is biodegradable (no chemicals or popsicle sticks).

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Virtual Event

October 28, 2025 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm EDT

Want to help keep our actions safe, organized, and powerful? Join us for an official Marshal Training hosted by Worcester Indivisible.

Whether you’re brand new to nonviolent direct action or just want to brush up on your skills, this session will cover both NVDA essentials and marshal techniques — open to anyone ready to learn and support actions in any role.

We’ll cover:
What is NVDA [Non-Violent Direct Action]
What a marshal is and why they matter
How to cork intersections and control flow
Leapfrogging techniques to support mobile protests/marches
De-escalation tips and safety awareness
Signal App 101 for secure group communication
How to support accessibility and inclusion on the ground

And most importantly — how to keep each other safe while standing up for justice

This training will be interactive, and discussion based. You’ll leave with real tactics, scripts, and tools you can use right away. We’ll also go over what to do in case of police presence, counter-protesters, or emergencies.

No prior experience is required — just bring your curiosity, your questions, and your commitment to keeping our community strong. You are also not required to Marshal at any time by attending this event, we encourage anyone and everyone to attend it simply to grow their skills and feel more comfortable during actions.

This is a great entry point if you’ve ever thought:
“I want to help, but I don’t know where to start.”

Please RSVP so we can plan for time.

Let’s build the infrastructure we need for bold, safe, and effective action in Central MA!

Indivisible LAB Action Hour

October 22, 2025 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm EDT

Share updates and hear from guest speaker Scotia Hille, executive director of Act On Mass, about why we must improve transparency and accountability at the State House. Hille will also talk about a potential ballot question to reform the MA Legislature’s stipend system, which allows leaders to use member salaries as a form of control. Bring your ideas!

You can also purchase & donate items for “kid kits” to help some immigrant families in Waltham who are experiencing food insecurity alongside concerns for their safety. Volunteers make deliveries to these families. At our Action Hour, we’ll assemble 50 small sets of treats for children. Use this form to sign up to purchase a small number of items for these kits — from Costco or any source you choose. Please bring these on 10/23, or arrange for drop off by emailing here.
