Speak Out with MEJA! Fully Fund Our Public Schools!

October 21, 2025 @ 3:00 pm 4:30 pm EDT

Massachusetts is facing cuts to education and healthcare, but we have the power to stop irreversible harm to our students and our communities’ futures. The federal government continues to siphon funding and supports from our students, especially our special needs, multi-lingual, LGTBQ+, and lowest-income students. This year, the Governor vetoed critical funding to reimburse local school districts for funds lost to charter schools—money that is essential for supporting investments in our public schools. Now, state legislators have an opportunity to override the Governor’s veto and prevent further gaps in funding our classrooms.

Chalk the Walk-Boston

October 15, 2025 @ 9:00 am 6:00 pm EDT

Boston — it’s time to make our voices visible.

On sidewalks, crosswalks, and corners across the city, we’re spreading messages of hope, unity, and resistance leading up to NO KINGS — October 18, Boston Common, 12–3 PM.

Grab your gear — spray chalk, sidewalk chalk, stencils, or freehand art — and take to the streets. Write your truth. Draw your vision. Leave bold, colorful reminders that we the people believe in a democracy that serves everyone.

🖍️ Use a template or go freestyle

🎨 Keep it creative, positive, and powerful

🚫 Remember: chalk is permitted on public sidewalks

📍 Tag your spot and share photos with #NoKingsBoston

Let’s fill the city — from Dorchester to Eastie, Roxbury to Allston — with color, courage, and conviction.

Every square of pavement is a statement: This is our sidewalk. This is our democracy. NO KINGS.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Monthly Meeting-Indivisible Westford

October 19, 2025 @ 4:30 pm 6:30 pm EDT

Join us for the monthly meeting of the Indivisible Westford Progressive Massachusetts chapter.

A more detailed agenda will be published about a week prior to the meeting, however, the format of our meetings, in general, is:

  • Local issues – town elections, budget issues, conservation committee, etc. May include presentations from candidates. Primarily for the town of Westford, but surrounding towns (Chelmsford, Acton) may also be discussed as appropriate.
  • State issues – as the legislative session gets underway, we will be involved in initiatives with the guidance from Progressive Mass, Indivisible Mass Coalition, and other organizations.  We will keep you informed and involved.
  • National issues – as things get rolling with the new administration, and we get direction from the national Indivisible organization, we will share with you. We will also give an update on our post card writing events and what is coming up with that effort.
  • General discussion – we always try to leave time for open discussion and questions.

Brookline Rally for Democracy

December 6, 2025 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm EST

Brookline Rally for Democracy

Join us every Saturday, 2:00-3:00 pm for a peaceful, pro-democracy rally at Coolidge Corner in Brookline as we raise our voices against the abuses of the Trump administration.

We stand for:

o Immigrant rights, human rights, and anti-racism

o Free speech, the Constitution, and the rule of law

o Healthcare and Social Security

o The protection of our planet

We stand for empathy over cruelty, peace over violence, and an end to the devastating wars in Gaza, Ukraine, and Iran. We stand for democracy, justice, and a future we can be proud to leave to the next generation.

This will be a spirited, peaceful gathering—bring your voice, your friends, and your signs! All are welcome, including participants with walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility devices.

This weekly event is hosted by Speak Out, Seniors! and we invite all generations to join us in standing up for democracy—one rally at a time. We’ll continue this weekly tradition for as long as it takes!

Suggestions:

o Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat

o In the event of inclement weather, we’ll each use our best judgment about whether to attend. We hope you’ll do the same!

READINESS, RESILIENCE, AND RESISTANCE: A Workshop For What Lies Ahead

November 8, 2025 @ 9:30 am 12:30 pm EST

In response to the U.S. becoming increasingly autocratic, this two-hour workshop by the Boston Trainers Collective (BTC) provides a framework for building readiness and resilience as a foundation for long-term resistance, personal and collective care, and preparedness for other challenges that may lie ahead such as climate-related crises, social unrest, and economic volatility. Participants will leave with concrete steps that can be taken immediately to start building readiness and resilience as individuals, organizations, and communities. A one-hour de-escalation training will be paired with this workshop.

Resilience is the ability to adapt, bounce back, and grow from stress, adversity, and trauma. It involves developing skills, behaviors, and mindsets like healthy habits, strong social connections, and problem-solving. These elements allow individuals and communities to cope with challenges, manage mental health, and even use difficult experiences for personal growth.

Our trainers will teach us about how to prepare ourselves, emotionally and physically, for the trump regime and what they are unleashing on our country.

We will also learn about de-escalation. Many of you have experienced an issue with an agitator during your demonstrations; we want to help you navigate those.

Doors open at 9am. Please, bring a friend or two! It’s a great workshop, even for those not involved in a movement.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at contact@indivisiblefitchburgma.org.

Join our Facebook page, Indivisible Fitchburg MA for info and events!

As we continue to organize these events and initiatives, we recognize that we can’t do it all on our own. We are hoping for your generous support through donations. If 30 people each contributed $10, we would be able to cover much of our expenses (church rental space, pizza, refreshments, small thank you gift for trainers, etc) for the upcoming events. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated! Email contact@indivisiblefitchburgma.org for Venmo or mailing address.

Thank you!

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

A new protest group named “No Fear Street Theater” will be hosting ICE protests near the Burlington ICE Office on Saturdays! Everyone is welcome! More info here

Black Tie Protest

October 24, 2025 @ 4:30 pm 6:30 pm EDT

Why: The owner of Cafe Escadrille also owns the ICE Prison/Field Office at 1000 District Ave. He has been silent on the abuses in his building, and has not aided the Town’s efforts to inspect for zoning & safety violations. We’ll keep visiting his restaurant until he’s ready to face the conversation.

Parking: down the street in front of the Burlington Ice Palace (this is Town property where you will not be towed. Please do NOT park at the Cafe Escadrille!)

Note: People often wear formal wear to this protest!
