Join Indivisible Acton Area for a Workshop on Community Resilience, Readiness and Resistance on Friday, September 19 from 6:00-8:30 PM, at the Great Road Church in Acton.
Indivisible continues to build the Democracy movement and mitigate harm. This workshop will help each of us lay the foundation for mutual aid in the face of disruptions by strikes or authoritarian aggressions.
The Boston Trainers Collective is a group of volunteer activists and organizers associated with a variety of racial and social justice organizations in Greater Boston. This is a two-hour workshop on building personal and collective readiness and resilience to resist authoritarianism and prepare our communities for other challenges that may lie ahead, such as climate-related emergencies, economic uncertainty, and social unrest. Participants will leave with a personalized list of actions they can take immediately to start building their readiness, resilience, and resistance muscles.
Join us for pizza and snacks and get connected to our current actions too!
In solidarity with women on Saturday, September 20th, join us in support of women’s civil rights (including voting rights); equitable access to healthcare, education and careers; equal representation in the government and the boardroom; and for a society that ensures their safety and autonomy. We will rally peacefully on the sidewalk in front of Ashburnham Town Hall. Please bring a sign supporting issues important to women. We are committed to nonviolent action at our rallies. We expect all participants to practice non-violence, to not quarrel with counter-protesters, and to consciously de-escalate any potential confrontation by disengaging with those who might disagree with our positions on issues. We are seeking change through peaceful actions.
SAFE (Supporting All Folks Equally) Flamingos, formerly The Flamingo Revolutionists (still under this name on here until I am able to change it), is holding a protest/rally to fight against the issues that are plaguing us every. single. day. Trump is still signing orders to dismantle, defund, and degrade so many things that make our country a democracy, and it’s out of control, but we can win this. I have all the faith in the world that we can win this. So grab your signs and come out with passion and power in your hearts to take back this country that is OURS, not Trump’s.
Event pending weather. If there is heavy rain or thunderstorms, the event will be cancelled.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
Brookline PAX Stand Out at Coolidge Corner is now a weekly event! Bring a sign and bring a friend.
There are many paths of resistance, but one of the easiest is to join with Brookline PAX to Stand Up for the Constitution, starting at 11am this and every Saturday in Coolidge Corner. It’s fun, simple and re-affirming when you see and hear how many wave and honk in support of this cause.
And, same day, same place, you can join the Senior Stand Out starting at 2:00 p.m. A real double-header to show the malefactors and miscreants where Brookline stands–figuratively and literally.
The Brookline PAX Stand Out and the Senior Stand Out merge seamlessly. Come and stay for as long as you can.

Join us on Saturdays 12pm-2pm to Stand Out and Up with your signs of protest and support. As a small and passionate community, this high visibility location is very impactful and fulfilling. Meet fellow citizens to join your voice in Solidarity and for Justice.
Hosted by: Hopkinton resident, a small and growing group of local and concerned Massachusetts citizens who live in Hopkinton and surrounding towns. Our mission is to build trust and relationships between local communities as we face the growing risks of:
Rising authoritarianism, bigotry and hate. The erosion of civil liberties – no due process. The worsening economy with fewer jobs. Climate change and health crisis.
Remember to bring water and hat It gets hot out here!
It’s best to park around The Common to then stand at the Spirit of the Boston Marathon Statue & Start Line, 93 East Main Street, Hopkinton.
Here are some important ground rules. We cannot disrupt traffic. Please stay out of the street, and always use crosswalks. This is a peaceful protest. If someone becomes aggressive towards one of us, we should all be ready to de-escalate the situation (don’t respond to the aggressor, walk away and if necessary, get support from the Hopkinton Police). Please look out for each other. The Hopkinton Police has been notified of event, and they support our right to PEACEFULLY protest. Thank you.

We need you (and anyone you can bring along) at our next gathering to consider the results of our survey and brainstorm strategies and tactics that will motivate our community and have maximum impact resisting authoritarianism and protecting our democracy.
Timothy Snyder, in his book, On Tyranny, argues that one step on the road to authoritarianism is when citizens faced with it “obey in advance” — “anticipatory obedience” teaches power what it can get away with.
We meet at a busy intersection near rt 24 in Brockton to protest in support of those who instead RESIST — even when it costs them. Bring a sign to stiffen spines that might need it at the moment we are in! For example, “Be Brave, Judges!” or “Be Brave, Public Servants!”
