DESCRIPTION:Join us for our September meeting. Jonathan Cohn\, Political Director at Progressive Mass\, will be addressing the latest in state plans to protect immigrants\, especially in light of the recent Supreme Court decision that clears the way for racial profiling during immigration raids and sweeps. This would give the green light for roving patrols for snatching people off streets and questioning them based on how they look\, what language they speak\, what work they do or even where they happen to be.​​He will also inform us on ways in which the state can fund some crucial programs that have suffered large cuts in funding from the federal government. He will provide us with ​actions we can take ​in regard to these crucial matters. \n\n\n\n\nPlease RSVP\n\n\n\n\n​Also\, several of our general members will tell you about some special projects they are working on​ and will invite your help with. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our August meeting at the Thomas Crane Library Community Room (ground floor) or via Zoom. Do you find phone banking intimidating? Have you been confused about how to take part in virtual phone banking sessions? We’ll be discussing phone banking via virtual sessions with a special guest speaker from Swing Blue Alliance. We’ll be answer questions you might have about virtual phone banking\, showing examples of the different virtual phone banking programs campaigns may use\, and what current campaigns you can take part in. We’ll also be providing troubleshooting for common issues.
