Incumbent US Rep. Marcy Kaptur advanced to the General Election for OH-09, and will face Republican Derek Merrin in November. Kaptur, in office since 1982, is the longest serving woman in Congressional history. She has a strong reputation for fighting for working Ohioans and “against unfair trade deals such as NAFTA, CAFTA, and China PNTR – standing up to her own party and special interests to do what is right.”
Cook Political rates this race in red Ohio as a “toss-up” and we must defend this democratic US House seat.
