GAIN Educational Forum: Immigration Law | Robin Nice | George Pappas

GAIN is honored to welcome Attorney Robin Nice and former immigration judge George Pappas for a forum on the state of Immigration Law in 2026.
Robin Nice is an immigration attorney and Partner at McHaffey & Nice, a board member of the MIRA Coalition, and serves on the Asylum and Refugee Committee of AILA. She has been practicing immigration law since 2012.
Robin will discuss the realities of practicing immigration law in 2026, including the sweeping changes brought by Trump 2.0, the dramatic rise in habeas litigation, increasingly aggressive ICE tactics, and the growing challenges faced by immigration attorneys.
Dr. Pappas is Principal Owner of Pappas Legal, PLLC a former immigration judge at the Boston & Chelmsford Courts. He has appeared on the CBS Evening News, the New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Guardian and other outlets.
Dr. Pappas will speak about the assault on immigration courts and immigration judges by the current administration. As Dr. Pappas will show, the assault on due process rights not only affects immigrations, but all US citizens. In short, no one is safe!
